What a wonderful find!
Just a literal five minute walk into the town centre, where one can be enticed with sights and scenes of an Amalfi town.
The hotel is charming with some of the old time elegance of the hotels of years gone by.
The staff is very accommodating and friendly, from the front desk , Ercolo, to Sergio, the maitre d',
The room we stayed in was clean and spacious, much more so than your typical hotel room.
The room had two walk outs to a large balcony, furnished with comfortable patio furnitures, including lounge chairs. It also had an out door jacuzzi tucked privately into a corner, away from view from other rooms.
The bathroom was large with a large shower and all the amenities including bath robe, slippers and a towel warmer.
The beds were firm yet comfortable.
The views were stunning and panoramic. One had a full command of the town, harbour, as well as the rest of the coast. Mount Vesuvius was looming in the far side of the bay. The sun rises were only surpassed by the sun sets.
I could go on but then Why not find for yourselves.

Room tip: The rooms a little higher up will have a better vantage, the one we liked was 625.

We loved staying in this traditional, but stylish hotel very centrally located for Sorrento. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and the standard of cleanliness very high. We had a beautiful view across the Bay of Naples. The staff were helpful and courteous at all times.

Room tip: I think the standard rooms are very similar and most have a wonderful seaview. Higher floor probably better to minimise road noise but we really couldn't hear the traffic on the 4th floor with the balcony door closed. There are suites on the higher floors but the standard rooms are more than plenty nice enough.

Staying in Sorrento wasn't planned when we set out for our 2 week romp around Italy. While we were in Florence two days before we decided to stay in Sorrento and booked Hotel Bristol for 3 nights. What a great decision. This place is gorgeous! It's not far from the train station but will cost about €15/20 to get there (taxis have a minimum of €15). We giggled like school girls when they showed us to our room. The view was outstanding. The room was large as well as the bathroom. It was very clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic. The wifi is free but will have to keep signing on. The location is a tiny bit out of town but an easy 5 minute walk. As two American girls we felt very safe walking at night. I can't wait to go back. I will be coming back to Hotel Bristol for years to come.

A very clean and well run hotel. All the staff were very professional and helpful.

The Maitre'D catered for the wifes gluten issue (coeliac) and looked after her throughout.

Food was generally very good, often thought not enough to look at but by the time you had eaten it you were satisfied.

Not sure on the policy of charging for tea and coffee in the room; for any hotel let alone whatever "star" this one is.

Excellent views from the front but you only get the morning sun.
We were on floor 1 in the annex and there was a bit of road noise, though looks like new french doors fitted.
Bath is a bit small and the shower could be dangerous even though a mat was supplied.

Hotel is on the edge of town, about a 5 to 10 min walk into town. ( This holiday involves a lot of walking, often on uneven ground, with high kerbs if there is a pavement at all.)

My only issue would be the price of drinks in the bar!!
But served with style by the barmen.

An enjoyable stay.

If you manage to park in the car park you are doing well!!

Room tip: I presume higher the better, as away from the road. Some rooms have a balcony, some dont. And there are suites available

We had a lovely, relaxing week at this quiet hotel which is full of charm and which has a location second to none. Our rooms above the restaurant, quite plain and without a balcony, were very quiet and had spectacular views over the Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and Sorrento and we were very happy with them. They were also kept very clean. If I could make a request, it would be for body lotion in the bathroom! The staff at the hotel were all professional and friendly and a special mention must go to Sergio and the guys in the restaurant who worked incredibly hard and who were always ready with a few friendly words and a smile. We enjoyed breakfast - there was plenty of choice and the pastries were warm and delicious and the tea hot and flavoursome.. We had half board and in the evening I looked forward to the salad/antipasti bar (absolutely delicious), the starters (large) and the desserts (wonderful pastry), but I sometimes struggled to finish the main course which was usually a selction of meat/fish/vegetarian options with potatoes and vegetables. We will all have fond memories of Hotel Bristol.
