“Excellent Holiday, Best Hotel in Sorrento”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of June for our wedding, we were in a junior suite on the 7th floor, we have stayed in other hotels in Sorrento but gambled and plumped for this hotel for our wedding stay, and what a good move that was, beats the other hotels we have stayed at hands down.
The hotel sits on the main road out of Sorrento overlooking the Marina Grande and is a 10 minute walk from tasso square, you can go via the Corsa Italia or via the side streets which have plent of shops and cafe's which run parallel to the main street, there is a slight incline on the way back but the excellence of the hotel makes this more than worth it.
All the staff in the hotel were very friendly throughout our stay in all areas of the hotel
Our room was very clean and linen was changed regularly, even our beds were turned down during the evening although I think this is only for the junior suites only, we had a large balcony overlooking the marina although we did not use this much as we preferred to use the loungers on the top floor which is a very nice area or the pool , the pool is in an excellent location at the top of the hotel.
The food in the hotel was excellent and being able to change the half board to your lunch was also very handy for the nights we wanted to eat out, although I must say the restaurant meals were excellent and far surpassed what we have been used to in other hotels.
We did not have our reception in the hotel for various reasons but the restaurant location would have been excellent, for the foreigners club see my review of that.
On our return from our wedding the hotel owner was in reception and congratulated us both and had a bottle of bubbly sent to our room just a few minutes later, a small gesture but it says a lot.
I can highly reccomend this hotel, in fact we are going back to the Bristol for our anniversary, this will be the only hotel I ever use in Sorrento from now on.

Room Tip: Try and get a junior suite or a room on a high floor

“BEAUTIFUL Hotel!!!”

I had the pleasure of staying at The Bristol Hotel in Sorrento, Italy this past November and this hotel is simply BEAUTIFUL! The views were incredible! The rooms were immaculate. The food and wait staff were exceptional! Everything about our experience at The Bristol Hotel was superb!

Although the weather didn't permit swimming or lounging at the pool, we enjoyed the views from the rooftop pool and lounge area which were just spectacular!

I highly recommend the this hotel!

Room Tip: The higher the room, the more spectacular the view although every room has a breathtaking view.

“Old world charm!”

A lovely older hotel with amazing views over Sorrento! We were upgraded to a suite on the 7th floor. I think it was one of their honeymoon suites! Spacious with a separate lounge area! Also had a huge balcony with a jacuzzi which I imagine would be idyllic in summer. Unfortunately we had terrible weather with strong winds which made it impossible to enjoy the facilities! The service from the staff was top class and the concierge was extremely helpful with arrangements for hired car, etc!

“Paradise found”

A hotel and destination of dreams. Sorrento is magical with so much to do and see in the surrounding area. The Bristol is probably the city's best hotel superbly situated with excellent views to Vesuvius and port below. We had a wonderful room on the fifth floor with balcony overlooking the bay. Although there is a main road below the soundproofing afforded in the room meant we were not bothered by noise and the advantage was the city centre with all its Mediterranean delights was just a short walk away. Food was excellent and drinks exceedingly reasonable for a top class hotel.

“Sweet Sorrento !”

We visited Sorrento this past summer, and stayed at Hotel Bristol. While the photos on the Internet were beautiful, nothing compare to actually seeing the hotel and this city first-hand.
Everything about the hotel was absolutely top-notch. This includes the service, the food, the location, the amenities...all were wonderful. There is nothing negative to say about our experience at this hotel....we were most impressed, and hated to leave ! We stayed 5 days, and every day was better than the one before. We will definately stay there again ...

Room Tip: We chose the family suite, for the four of us; while the room was very spacious, etc, we forgot abou...
