As a very frequent traveler I have discovered that good tour guides are a dime a dozen. Francesco set the bar incredibly high for my future tours. A group of 6 of us went to Sorrento for Easter and wanted to hire a private guide to take us along the Amalfi Coast for the day. It was perfect. Francesco picked us up at our hotel as promised in his very clean and well maintained Mercedes van. We began a beautiful and informational tour. He was very conscious about stopping frequently to allow us to take photos of the amazing scenery. As a native of Sorrento he is very knowledgeable about the area. We stopped in Positano to walk around and shop. Had an amazing lunch near Ravello overlooking some amazing scenery. Much to the dismay of the men in the group, I wanted to shop for some local ceramics. Francesco didn't miss a beat. He took us to an "off the beaten" path ceramics store that had an amazing selection for me, and an area to drink wine for the men. Everyone was happy!!! Maybe one of the coolest things was the iPad Francesco had. He would show us video of an event or a movie and then point to where it took place. Just a small touch that made the entire tour that much more enjoyable.

We also hired Francesco for transportation to and from the airport, as well as to Pompeii. He was able to arrange a private guide for our Pompeii tour, who was also very knowledgeable.

I think it is impossible to have a bad time along the Amalfi Coast, but it is individuals like Francesco who make once in a lifetime trips even more memorable. Now, if I could only find another Francesco in every other city I want to visit!

I went to the Amalfi Coast with my family over the summer, and if it weren't for Francesco, the trip would never have been so amazing.

He is extremely knowledgeable, funny, and the most gracious host the area could ask for. My parents have been to the Amalfi coast before and said they never had a guide like Francesco. He adapts to the clients preferences, and can change itineraries in a heartbeat depending on what you want to do. Not to mention, he's a great driver, and it normally takes a lot to impress my father with driving skills!

I can't say enough about Francesco - I only wish he did other locations so I can hire him every place I go- and I travel a LOT!

Francesco has proven himself to be a wonderful, all round tour guide! From the beginning when I first contacted him, he was always prompt (and very courteous) in replying to my phone calls and emails. He was prompt on our pick up time for a day excursion around the coast with it ending in Pompeii. He even arranged for a private guide of the site, which I HIGHLY recommend. The guide, Vincenzo, was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to our two boys (ages 11 and 15). A real gentleman! Francesco's van was pristine and very comfortable, which made the ride even more enjoyable. His use of an iPad was a bonus as he was able to show us in detail certain sites and even our real time progress as we made our way around the area in the van. Being a native of Sorrento, his knowledge of the area was endless and he had a great sense of humor while telling interesting facts and stories of the different sites on the coast. His command of the English language was also excellent. Traveling by private vehicle is expensive but well worth it. It is honestly the best way to see this part of Italy as driving your own car is (in our opinion) not an option, given the high volume of traffic and VERY narrow roads!! We highly recommend Francesco's services for it is truly the best way to experience the incredibly beautiful Amalfi Coast!

We were a group of 14 and Francesco organized the most amazing tour that took us to places out of the ordinary that cruise tour buses can not go. He also took us to a fun Family restaurant for lunch high in the hills above Positano and the whole tour was enjoyed by all! It is a great way to see the area and not have to drive in that traffic as Francesco is VERY capable for anything that can come at him in a vehicle. Totally recommend that this is the way to go when visiting by cruise ship or staying awhile in Naples or Sorrento!!
