“Fabulous Honeymoon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights at the Hotel Amalfi at the end of September/beginning of October, 2011 for our honeymoon. We had originally booked a stay at another hotel near Salerno that was a big disappointment. The Hotel Amalfi accomodated our last minute request for a room. We were on the third floor, had a beautiful sea view and a very large balcony. The breakfast was served on the gorgeous terrace (also overlooking the sea). The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The room was a fine size for two people and had all the basics. There was no WiFi, which we would have liked, but other than that, we had a great stay. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Aurora to anyone traveling to the Amalfi Coast!

“Quaint hotel, at end of no exit street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in mid October. The location is good (except when it's raining, and you have to carry your bags from the bus stop), being approx. 400-500 metres from the centre of town at the end of a no exit street, and and away from the crush of the cruise ship crowd when the boats are "in". We had a superior double room which had nice extensive views of the sea from a terrace adjacent to the room. Breakfasts were adequate (buffet-style) and served in the large room next to reception, rather than in the hotel's beautiful outdoor garden setting (probably owing to the time of year when it was windy and cooling down). Our room had a very small, old TV set that could only get Italian stations and even they were "fuzzy". Time to up grade the TV sets guys. Also, the shower hose over the bath had to be hand-held; maybe they are trying to conserve water!! (making for short showers); we're not sure if this is a feature of every room. The staff are friendly and helpful (helping us with ferry timetables, etc); a lot more could be made of the large lounge/dinning room off reception, which is in need of modernising and re-arranging. We were given an info pack on arrival which we found very helpful.

Room Tip: The superior double room number 29 has nice extensive views of the sea from a terrace adjacent to th...

“Nice Hotel”

We have just returned home from a 4-night stay at the Hotel Aurora. It is very conveniently situated overlooking the sea in a quiet area (only 5 minutes walk from the Bus Station and the interesting town centre of Amalfi). The Hotel is nicely decorated and clean although our bedroom was quite basic. The staff were very helpful and we would recommend staying at this Hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a seaview room.

“Quaint and cozy, with beautiful views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Stayed with my husband for two nights, and wished it could have been two weeks. This is a sweet little hotel, with great views, quiet area, and excellent staff. Andrea and Walter were so helpful with everything, including making dinner reservations, and suggesting other ways to improve our trip. The hotel is nicely decorated with beautiful local tiles, including common areas and the rooms.

“A very friendly Italian style hotel”

My wife and I stayed five nights in the Aurora at the end of September and loved the experience. Its in the quiet part of town, so no noise at night and yet its only a few minutes walk from the center. The sea views from the bedrooms are fantastic, as are the views from the veranda where we had breakfast. The staff are very obliging and friendly, and know the area inside out.

Amalfi is a great town, our pick for a place to stay in that area.

Highly recommended!
