We stayed at the Hotel Alba while house hunting in the Abruzzo region. We are convinced we chose the perfect hotel. The staff was so helpful and kind. The room was large by Italian hotel standards and nicely equipped. The bath had a shower that was large enough so that you weren't knocking elbows on walls and doors. The bath was very modern and extremely clean. The bed was very, very comfortable as well. The hotel is minutes from the beach which has a myriad of restaurants and gelato stores. There is a nice upscale area between the hotel and the beach where you can buy wine, cheeses, Italian meats, etc. We absolutely had a blast in Pescara and would love to return and stay here or even rent an apartment for a month.

We drove north to the countryside above Pineto to Teremo and Cellino Attanasio. The surrounding countryside beats Tuscany - hands down. There are gorgeous hills, the San Grasso mountains in the background and the Adriatic Sea in front of you. What more could you ask? And then to drive back to Pescara and our hotel, enjoy an afternoon stroll on the beach with our feet in the sea, eat a lovely dinner and stroll back to the Hotel Alba was wonderful. The city is very, very safe and well lit at night, too.

This was a fantastic way to start our 2 weeks in Europe, so thanks to tripadvisor, we scored another hit! Thanks to Hotel Alba for making our stay there one we will definitely remember and hopefully experience again!

Walking distance from central train station and a few minutes walk to the beach makes this the perfect location for my Ironman Italy last June 12, 2011. With my wife and 3 kids in tow, I was able to check them in at the Hotel Alba, get my registration package, assemble my bike and make it to the 7 pm bike delivery deadline.

The rooms may be small, but I just had enough space to assemble my bike and prepare my Ironman paraphernalia. We had a hearty free breakfast with great coffee from the bar. Then my kids had fun at the beach on race day while my wife was busy taking photos of me at the starting line. Then at night, after the race, we had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant just spitting distance from the hotel - great pasta, funghi and carbonara.

Staff were courteous and very helpful. At 90 euros a night for a double, quite a steal for the location and amenities - perfect combination for Ironman Italy.

The hotel is within walking distance from the train station, the beach, and in the middle of an area with shops, resaurants. Still very quiet, good sleep comfort, not noisy
Kind of oldfashioned style with goldframed mirrors, huge decorations of artificial flowers, velvet curtains. However our room had nicely renovated bathroom, and very comfortable beds
English spealing staff in the reception both when checking in and checking out at a very early hour. Called taxi for us which arrived promptly, about 10 minutes to the airport
Arriving from the airport we took bus 38 which stopped near the railway station, some 5 min to walk to the hotel, but this one did not run at 5 am

A nice friendly hotel in a good location. Not at all expensive for the room, and perfectly placed for eating out, shopping and for access to the airport and train station.
