“Terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

My husband and I stayed here with my brother and his wife last year. My husband booked this place as their website described something very nice and comfortable looking..... well wasn't that a LIE! We arrived and were completely shocked, it was NOTHING like the website at all. This place is old and dingey, the rooms are so small we could hardly fit our luggage in there. The beds were atrocious - we could feel every spring digging into our backs, our bathroom was still dirty and the service was very average. We were lucky that we had driven all the way from Milan, so we were exhausted and therefore actually could sleep on those terrible beds. If it wasn't for our exhaustion we would have found another hotel.

We certainly would never stay here again. Pescara is a beautiful place, this hotel isn't!

“Want to see what a hotel looked like in the 70s”

Well this is the place for you. Unfortunately some of the staff are also trapped in this time warp. The breakfast is limited, with a scary looking waiter. our air conditioning didnt work and the solution we were first offered was open the windows for fresh air in 39 degrees. Thankfully we were moved, but avoid it if you can

“Nice hotel. Great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

Very good access to shopping and sites of Pescara. Easy walking distance to Pescara central station. Rooms are small, but nicely appointed and clean. Great value hotel. Not fancy, but clean and modern. Comfortable. Can't beat it for the price.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2008

Adequate hotel with reasonable rooms, ensuite bathrooms a little plasticy and limited views however not far from the beach and a lovely breakfast. Taxi fare to the port (for ferries to croatia) about 10-15 Euros but only took 10 minutes. Perfect for a quick pre ferry stop over but prbably not ideal for a week by the beach!

“Tired but Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2007

Stayed here while touring Italy in July 2007. Was concerned by the last review but as there didn't seem to be any other hotels available in Pescara at this time we thought we'd chance it.
Overall we had a pleasant stay. OK the decor is in need of an update and the place could do with an overhaul but as we weren't paying huge sums of money for a room this wasn't a problem.
Our room was of a decent size, as was the bathroom, and everything was clean. We even had a balcony - not a place to sit and watch the sun sink over the horizon as it overlooked the building next door which was being renovated but a place where we could hang our swimsuits out to dry after a day at the beach.
The breakfast was pretty poor. Coffee, fruit juice, fruit, rolls and jam, yoghurt and (if down early) a small selection of salami and cheese. But there is a supermarket 2 minutes away and a fridge in the room if you are desperate (or go to the cafe next door and have breakfast Italian style).
The best thing about the hotel are the staff. They were very friendly, helpful and courteous (probably the most friendly we came across on our tour which also took in stays in Bergamo, Bologna and Rome). On hearing we were taking the train to Rome (4hrs), they did suggest the bus (2.5 hrs) and then tried to ply us with sandwiches and water (gratis). Also on arrival our room safe wasn't functioning properly but they had it fixed within 5 minutes.
The location of the hotel is fine - 3 minutes from the station (where buses leave from as well) and 5 minutes from the beach.
If you want the type of hotel which provides you with all the niceties and little extras, and which gives you stunning views and 40 TV channels in English don't come here. However, if all you require is somewhere which is clean, comfortable, has friendly and courteous staff, and is reasonably priced this is the place for you.
