This was my first visit to Esplanade and Pescara. I would highly reccomend this hotel. The location was right in the center of everything you need beach, great food, great shopping, a short trip ( 10 min) "Colli"to the mountains in Pescara beach on one side and mountains on the other just amazing. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. We had adjoining rooms with a sitting room in the middle lots of space for four. The double rooms were also very big high ceilings some had oceanfront balcony amazing view. Bathrooms modern and clean. This hotel has what a four star hotel in Italy is. I can't say enough about the staff they were all great any request was easily done. The staff was extremely professional and most of them spoke english.The rooftop breakfast was awesome eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, cheeses and meats, fresh fruits, cereal, juices, breads, pasteries, cereals, coffee, juices. The view we had from the rooftop for breakfast was just amazing. They also offered free room service if you have breakfast included. The hotel also has internet access in lobby with printer. The hotel offers 24 hour reception service. I was traveling with 2 teenagers this was perfect for them they could walk right outside the hotel to the beach which has different establishment to choose that are called "Stabilimentos". we chose Palm Beach (right accross the street) which is another review. The Palm Beach offered Palms/with chairs boat rides, greaaaaat food, outdoor pool, kids play area (its like ChuckyChees on the beach) but hidden enough so you can relax on the beach, bar, lunch, dinner.I just cant say enough about this hotel. I had reserved 7 days and extended my stay to 15 days. I had planned on going to Sorrento, Amalfi etc... but found everything I needed in Pescara and at Esplanade Hotel.

Four of us stayed at the hotel for four nights in early August 2008. My uncle was marrying an Italian girl not far from Pescara. The hotel is literally right across the street from the beach and minutes away from shopping and restaurants.

The rooms were pretty standard and the bathrooms seemed fairly large for Europe. The shower had plenty of room, although water tended to get everywhere if you took a long shower.

The hotel staff was friendly but their English was a little broken. I do not recommend the Rooftop Restuarant for dinner, but the breakfast bar is good.

If we ever return to Pescara, we will most likely stay at the Esplanade again mainly for the convenience of the local sights.

We stayed for 2 nights and can't say we enjoyed it. From the outside it gives a pretty nice impression, but the rooms need to be refreshed and the staff consist of middle-aged men, who don't seem interested in making your stay enjoyable...

It's definitely overpriced - and we wouldn't stay there again in case we'll be passing by Pescara. The breakfast is really poor as well.

I studied in Italy during the summer of '04. 10 of us decided to go to Pescara for a long weekend. We stayed at the Esplanade and had a great time. The hotel rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was helpful. The hotel restaurant is on one of the top floors completly open to the outside, with a view of the Adriatic. The food is good, but the scenary is what makes it awesome. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the hotel and its location. It is directly across from the beach, shops, and restaurants. It also give direct access to the city. Plenty of shoping and dining can be done with-in a short walk of the hotel.
