Just got back from a 2 night stay with friends at the Feet Up Hostel in Valencia. It is located pretty central and we only took few minutes to find out the hostel from the Train Station. The Receptionists are mainly foreigners from Poland, Russia and Italy but they all speak very good English plus other languages. The first impact is the colourful rooms which makes this hostel such unique. I was staying in room number 10 called the Hotel California with a 60s-70s ambience. Rooms are clean, Free internet and Free breakfast which is where we hanged out for a cup of coffee to meet up with the other foreign residents. I highly recommend this hostel for budget travellers and for those looking to make some new foreign friends while touring Valencia.

It was a positive surprise, all the way. The rooms and the hostel are original decorated and everything was very hygienic. The reception and staff were extemely friendly, helpfull without being pushy. If a go to another city I first will look if there's a Feetup hostel: I think that says it all. Me and my friends've just come from Samay Sevilla we have been offered there this Hostel, it is really very nice Hostel!!! Thanks for the nice stay.

We stayed a week and were really impressed by how much a good value hostel can offer.
It's rather small and you feel like you're at home.
There are 3 bathrooms with shower + WC, and one WC only. All were clean at anytime and I had to wait for "my turn" only once!
I can highly recommend this hostel, and I dont know where to start with the reasons. Our room ("Luce") wasn't spectacular, but clean, well provided and big enough. I peeked into some others, they had fantastic furniture.
The breakfast is served in a cozy kitchen. We were leaving at 5 in the morning - and still the receptionist prepared a small "buffet" for us. You cant ask for more!
Towels and a locker are provided, too. You have to leave a deposit, that you get back at your departure.
You cant sleep so well because there always seem to be residents on the street, making noise.

we stayed a few nights in may 2009. When I book a room I always check reviews on several websites. about Hilux the reviews were poitive; so I booked.
I was disapointed. Our room (with the herbs) was not clean and very dusty. The bed was not so good. Breakfast was very sober but the fridge (were all residents keave theare food) was very very dirty.
staff was always behind pc; friendly if you asked them but not hing special. If the hostel was very cheap I wouldn't care but we paid a normal hotel price. I travel al lot but this was one of the lesser experiences. I think you can get better for the same price in Valencia
