“Good but room for improvement .......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

Just stayed for 4 nights approx 5 mins down the road to the city of arts and sciences, €20/25 euros in a cab from the airport or you can take the metro to xantina and get a 35 bus (40 mins) the bus stops right outside and is the same bus back into town approx 20 mins.

Room was big , I had a triple 1 single 1 dble bed , the room also had a big balcony. (211) the bathroom had a shower only but was fine , there was a tv but only CNN and BBC world service in English so not really worth turning on . There is free wifi but the code changes everyday which is a bit of a pain to keep up with !!. There are 2 pc's in the lounge and the cost 1 euro for 20 mins and there is the all important printer as well.

The lounge was the winner here , spotlessly clean , with 2 large fridges to store your stuff and a supermarket in the mall approx 10 mins away . Kettle , microwave but no oven.

40 flats is also in the same building if you want your own apartment but to be honest the shared kitchen and lounge are spotless and the difference in price for our own apartment was nearly double in price so we didn't bother.

Would definitely return , bargain of Valencia , great for families on a budget ......

Room Tip: Choose 2nd floor away from the lifts !!!

“Our second stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

I'm typing this review in the lounge/common room. This is our second visit to Rooms Deluxe, on our first stay we had the surfers room overlooking the back of the building, this time we are on the second floor at the front ( Woodland/fairytale room). We have a decent size balcony. The double glazed doors keep most noise out, and the air conditoner is very efficient and quiet..The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows lovely and soft.
Each room is allocated cupboard space and fridges and freezers are also available ( you label your food with room no. etc)
The location is great it takes around 25 mins to walk to Valencia-Nord or no35 bus stops just down the road. The no 95 bus ( 2 min walk) will deposit you a short walk from the BioParc.
Large supermarket Carrefore is a 10 min walk.
The Wifi which was problematical on our last stay has been sorted, you now get given a slip of paper with a time allocated password, these are freely available from reception. The signal is excellent. For guests without laptops there are 2 coin operated computers in the lounge.
Multi channel TVs in rooms and large TV in lounge - BBC World and CNN are only English language. No Deportes or other dedicated sports channels.

Room Tip: All rooms are themed so take a good look at the website pictures and try and choose from there. One...

“Just what you need! - That is, PERFECT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

We had the Buddha room. It was perfect, esp, since it had a small balcony, which was very imp for my husband who is a smoker. I would go there again rather than a hotel, because the kitchen gives you the opportunity to buy your own food, cook and in our case, eat in our balcony. The staff was very friendly and very helpful as well. I met Marco ?(blond guy), Laura (if I remember the names well, and Ismael) - thanks to all of you, if you read this!! Room was always kept well. The cleanliness of kitchen depends on who resides in hostel at the same time as you. Some people have the habit of washing things and leaving them to dry on rack. It is more considerate to just wipe and put back in cupboard immediately after use. The location was GREAT. 5 mins away from teh City of Arts and Sciences, from El Saler shopping mall from where you can buy food staff from Carrefour, wiht a restaurant La Zarzamora, literally adjacent to the hostel (very good food at reasonable prices - check for the menu during the week - from 1.30 pm till 4 , a three-course meal at around €10). We stayed there 5 nights (in Sept) so it was not so noisy, except for the last night where we could hear the restaurants' chairs being dragged around, at 1.30am. I would definitely recommend it and I would certainly go there again if I had to go to Valencia. And the price is really SUPER reasonable. Tip: I could make coffee whenever I wanted - another family member who went to a hotel in Valencia (as in every hotel, afterall) could not even make herself a cup of tea.

I visited all there was to see in the City of Arts but I would only recommend visiting the Aquarium and go to the dolphin show (if you are short of time)- you'd be amazed. The Bioparc is not to be missed if you have never seen exotic animals.

Advantage: You can hardly get lost - with such a BIG landmark (City of Arts & Science)
No need to rent a car, though if you rent one, go to Montanejos springs (90km away from Valencia city).

Excellent throughout!!

Room Tip: If you smoke, ask for a room with a balcony. If at the back of the restaurant, it is better because...

“Nice but noisy..”

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the fact that the rooms were themed! It's more like a hostel than hotel but has many facilities (washing machine, wifi, shared kitchen, reading room) that many hotels do not. The only complaint we have is that it was very noisy - both in the corridors and outside as there is a restaurant downstairs. So sleeping or being woken up in the middle of the night may be an issue - but it was close to everything and clean. If you do stay here maybe ask for a room on one of the higher floors to avoid the restaurant noise.

“Very disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2011

We arrived in Valencia early morning so we didn't expect they'd have a room for us. The girl at the front desk was helpful enough to let us leave our luggages and gave us a city map. When we came back at 3pm, another person was at the desk but she was busy on the phone and nobody else was around. When she finished I showed her our luggage tags, she pointed to the back somewhere to indicate we could get them ourselves, I said we didn't know where they'd put our luggages, she seemed surprised. We followed her to the back, got our luggages, apparently she thought we were leaving so I told her we hadn't checked in yet. The room they gave us was not one of the rooms we wanted, the shower (a see-through glass room) and the toilet are separated, it's not very convenient if you're not traveling with your spouse/partner. The guests next to our room were shouting and slamming doors all through the night and nobody seemed to care. There's no phone in the room so I had to go down and told the front desk. This hostel is located in a rental residential building so you see a lot of people coming and going. It might be a good place to stay for young people who like to party and stay up late but for someone like me who wants a good night sleep I wouldn't recommend at all. All the hotels/hostels we stayed in Spain have been great except this one.
