“wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

we stayed at the Westin in Valencia in October 2011. Our stay was wonderful - everything was just perfect. First of all, the restaurant and bistro area in the gardens of the hotel are amazing. We often just went back to the hotel to relax for a bit and get a snack before we continued our journey through the city. The room was also very clean, nice and big. We didn't really use the balcony - it was a bit too noisy outside and it didn't feel very private, so I wouldn't pay extra for that (I guess I am spoiled as far as that is concerned). Breakfast was a treat, too, and since we got a special rate, our stay was worth every cent. By the way, Valencia, although not that famous compared to Barcelona or Madrid, is a very interesting city with great places to visit, shops and museums. I just wish I knew more Spanish.

Room Tip: next time I'd go for a room facing the gardens (without the balcony)

“No big surprise, why this is number 1 in Valencia.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We stayed here for Christmas 2011, and had a fabulous time. We booked a grand deluxe room, it was extremely cosy and comfortable, but spacious. The bedroom looked onto the terrace, and the bathroom was tucked away nearer to the entrance, with large bathtub and separate shower, with a separate tiolet room. There was ample wardrobe space too, if you were wanting to stay longer than a weekend. The gym looked excellent. We used the spa/pool, which had a sauna before a treatment in the spa and it was very nice. The facials are very good and well worth it. If you are thinking of booking here for a special package, ie: Valentines, I wouldn't hesitate, if the Christmas package is anything to go by. We had the gala on the 24th, and brunch on the 25th, both fabulous food, free flowing wine, accompanied by a saxophonist. And if there is anything on the menu, you would rather not have, the chef will do something in its place for you!

“Complete Perfection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

My partner and I stayed at the Westin Valencia last August to get away from work and university just to relax and it is the best hotel we have stayed in by far! I prefer not to visit the same place twice but I would definitely go back to Valencia just to stay at the Westin in a heartbeat!
The first thing to comment on is the entrance lobby, it is so grand and beautiful you just know that you have arrived in complete luxury!
Concierge were very polite and helpful, especially organising rental bikes for us, the company they used were cheap and dropped off the bikes to the hotel. I think cycling in the old town of Valencia is a must! We were able to see different parts of the town and great architectural buildings which we would have missed if we were just walking! However, the hotel is still only a ten minute walk into the old town!
I would definitely recommend dining at the Rosmarino restaurant at least once whilst staying. As I feel that the courtyard is what makes this hotel so special. We had planned to dine out every morning and night to find the local restaurant and bars in the area. However, every morning we ended up eating the buffet breakfast outside in the sunshine as it was so relaxing and you feel like you're in the middle of a tropical garden, just beautiful! Whether breakfast or dinner it was all very romantic and serene. There was also a saxophonist playing on the other side of the courtyard for after dinner drinks which was lovely! I really could have stayed there all day! Sylvia (I'm hoping this is the correct name) in Rosmarino Mediterranean Restaurant was so friendly and gave great service!
The rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds incredibly comfortable! The only negative I could think of the hotel is that you have to pay for the pool, which for me, is just not worth it when there is a beach nearby and the Do!Valencia trip (which is an absolute must!).
Overall, the Westin Valencia is a great hotel to stay in, and I feel it is worth every penny. It is complete relaxation with gorgeous surroundings and great service!

“Excellent hotel and huge room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We stayed at The Westin the last week of 2.011.

This hotel is simply excellent, large but comfortable, it’s a well restored two storey building.

We arrived very early and our room was ready for us, and it was huge, and when I say huge I mean HUGE, it was a Junior Suite.

The staff was very attentive and helpful. They recommended two restaurants and both were fantastic.

Breakfast was superb too, plenty of choices....

My only complain was internet, expensive. I don’t understand why this kind of hotels offers such a bad and expensive internet service, it’s beyond my understandings.

“Excelent, Excellent, Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

I stayed last 14th January 12 at the Westin Valencia and I can only say how excellent it was.

The room was HUGE (a starwood preferred guestroom facing the garden) with walk-in closet, gigantic rainshower and bathtub, and separate toilet and bidet. The room itself was very cozy, with a King-sized bed where 5 people could sleep in, and the sleep itself was quiet and like sleeping on a cloud. Also space for a sofa, armchair, table and working desk.

Location is also a good point, as a 15-minute walk over the river takes you directly to the city centre and is close to good bars and restaurants.

I also had the chance to use the hotel swimming pool and they use salt instead of clorine which was great for the skin, also steamroom, sauna and shower with essential oils. An oasis of peace in the city.

What made this experience so memorable was the hotel staff. Attentive, courtous, helpful and delivering service from the heart. I myself work for a 5-star GL hotel brand and can truly recommend this hotel if you want to feel at home and taken care of.

Breakfast was varied with hot and cold dishes, and yer again the staff made you start your day with the correct attitude, specially waitress Silvia who had that way of treating you that you can remember for ever.

If you are thinking which hotel to choose in the city, I can only say that you will have value for your money.
