“Good allrounder, great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2011

Stayed in a family room with my partner and 2 children, room and bathroom was quite small, but the location is so great that we hardly spent any time in the room. The reception staff were polite and helpful, with a lot of knowledge about the local area. We got breakfast at thelocal cafe over the road both mornings of our stay. They serve many simple dishes, tostados and pastries and great coffee for just a few Euros. So no need to have the expensive breakfast in the hotel.
Our room was clean, and had a fab view of the street from 5 floors up from a small balcony. Large wardrobe and mini bar. The bathroom was a little small with an interesting scramble over the loo to get out of the shower! But it was clean with plenty of fresh towels, shampoo, gel etc'.

The location is this hotels forte', the old town is a couple of minutes stroll away, with sights, shops, bars and cafe's, and if you are driving into Valencia it is super easy to get to the hotel straight off the main AP70 motorway, with only one crazy 8 lane spanish roundabout to conquer!! We parked in the street right outside the hotel. If it's your first time to Valencia check out the tourist sites, they may be crowded but are really worth it.

One funny end to the hotel stay...Just as we were checking out one poor man who had just arrived for the Valencia Grand Prix, got stuck in the gents toilet. His friend had to take the handle off with a screwdriver to get him out! I look forward to reading his review!!!

All said, a good stay, with the location making up for the small room.

Room Tip: Ask for a street view with a balcony.

“Dishonest staff and overpriced phone and breakfast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2011

Hotel has nice interior, it´s clean and got good connection to airport and bus to beach.

Big bad news at the end was the phone bill.
When I asked reception how expensive it was he said: cheap, something like 30p per minute.
They have an exact price list behind reception which says €5 per minute which he didn´t bother mentioning. So I ended up with a €99 phone bill. He knew I had to take emergency phone calls back home to the UK and knowingly told me the wrong price.
Obviously he didn´t work when I checked out and not speaking Spanish makes argueing difficult.

So considering my extra cost, this wasn´t a cheap option in the end.
And the dishonesty of staff really disappointed me.

Friends of mine who travelled with me had a very small room dispite them being a couple whereas I had a massive room and I was one my own. We couldn´t switch as I checked out earlier. So you can be unlucky with the room which is too small to put your suitcases in and the window looks out on a wall and drain pipe.

We didn´t have breakfast here which is charged at €12 per day(!) and just includes some dry backery and cereal which you can all get for €1-2 outisde the hotel.

“Great location and hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2011

The hotel is very well located near the metro (10 mins walk) for the airport- . there are good bars and restaurants 10 minutes away as well which are frequented by locals and not many tourists. Beware though many do not open for business until 8,45 pm in true spanish style There are lots of cafes nearby wher you cab get a croissant and coffee for 3 euros if you dont want thefull buffet 8 euro breakfast offer at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and with very little traffic noise even though we were 2nd floor front as it is a quiet one way street. There can be noise from corridor and adjacent rooms though. Staff are very helpful and speka good english.

Beds were a little firm for me

“Excellent value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2010

We found the hotel very comfortable and suitable to our use. Very modern, but everything worked out well for us. The location is convenient being a few blocks away from both the train and metro stations and 10 minutes walk to the city centre.
The room are clean and with a lot of space; we also had two small balconies. The view from this hotel isn't particularly great, but it was nice to get some fresh air.
The hotel has free wifi internet connection and computers at the lobby which the guests can use free of charge.
The daily breakfast had a good variety of foods and the drink machine provided a good selection of coffees and other hot drinks. Self service buffet breakfast had bacon, eggs, tomatoes, beans, sausages, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastrys, hot and cold drinks.
We were very pleased with the hotel. All staff were friendly, helpful and most spoke English.
We chose it because of the location, price and facilities all of which were excellent value for money.
