We slept on stones for 10 nights - there is no nice, soft ground on which to pitch your tent. The shop opens whenever they feel like it, and the bar closes very early for Spain (11.30pm, in August, peak season). Hot showers are available for the lucky one or two who manage to struggle into the bathroom early - the rest of us put up with cold showers (not so bad on a hot day though). Toilets and showers are cleaned regularly, but the area for washing dishes is dirty and not fit for purpose.
The pool looks nice but I wouldn't know how nice it is, since campers have to PAY to use it, 3€ a day. The 'zoo' is appalling - don't visit it if you have any beliefs whatsoever in the rights of animals to the minimum of comfort if they are to be kept in captivity. Caged pigeons and a big lizard that to me appeared distressed. I was upset by the whole experience.
Apart from the bar staff who are perfectly friendly, it was clear to me that so long as the Euros are coming in, the experience of the campers is of little interest to the staff.
The saving grace is the beach - a bit of a trek through forest and sand-dunes - but isolated, peaceful, clean and beautiful. However, the walk is completely unsuitable for young children, older people and anyone with any mobility problem.
Be prepared to pay over the odds. Or stay somewhere else!
