I chose this property specifically for its location, just a few minutes walk from Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences. I was not disappointed, since its location was also directly across the street from a shopping mall--handy for travel needs or a quick bite. If your main reason to visit Valencia is to see the old town without a car (45 minute walk--not recommended), then there are better and much closer options.
Rooms with one double bed (rather small, but fine for 1 person) have the advantage of facing east--with a great view of the City of Arts and Sciences buildings. Another advantage was a sofabed in the room. For 2 or more adults, I would recommend a twin room because the double bed was quite small (i.e., not queen or king size mattress).
The room itself was quite small, and there was a lack of attention to the basics (even compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses). For example, the tissue box in the bathroom was stuffed with a few paper towels, instead of tissues...and there was not enough space to work on, nor easily accessible outlets for mobiles, laptops, etc. Overall, there is a lot which can be improved in the rooms (surprising for a new hotel).
The free breakfast was good, once you figured out which coffee machine was working. Staff were very helpful.
Overall, an OK choice if you can get a low rate. (It was not good value for me, since I paid over €70).
Room Tip: High floors facing east have a great view of the City of Arts and Sciences, but only a small double...
