“Hold on to your bag!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

I hadn't even got into the hotel before someone had stolen my bag whilst sitting outside on the hotel steps. There were nearly 220 football fans waiting at reception waiting to check in so I thought I would wait outside until the queue had ''died down''. One male receptionist was very helpful but his colleague wasn't bothered when asked if they would check the CCTV recording. Anyway these things happen and there is no point in moaning about it. What is done is done! The hotel is very nice. My son and I had a lovely spacious twin bedded room.Large bathroom with all the toiletries one needs.(I wish I'd known this before I went out to buy a new toothbrush etc.Dooh!!) Plenty of hanging space and draws. (No use to me though as I had no clothes!). The bar area was quite good, though expensive and the menus looked inviting. We ate out that night. The breakfast was adequate with your usual menu of meats, cheeses and breads. I wish though that the Spannish would do hot hard boiled eggs and not cold ones. The restaurant manager wasn't as helpful as his staff and this was noted by other guests. One the whole this is a nice hotel and though out of town, it's only 5 euros in a taxi to where all the action is, it's well worth a visit. REMEMBER THOUGH. KEEP HOLD OF YOUR BAG!!!!!

Room Tip: I noticed that our room on the 11th floor was larger than our friends on the 5th floor.

“Bad Location, Room ok, Tiny Pool, ...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

The bad thing about this hotel is its location - in the middle of nowhere. It takes 45 minutes to walk to the city centre (take bus no. 19 instead!) and in surrounding streets there are just hotels and apartment blocks. I managed to find a small supermarket nearby which is open until 9 pm. Other guests who didn't book breakfast ending up booking it because there was nowhere else to go easily.
It is situated close to the city of Arts and Sciences though.

The beach is way too far away to walk, the hotel offered a shuttle service for free though which was good: 10.30, 11.30 and 12.30 to the beach and back in the evening 17.30, 18.30, 19.30 hrs.

My room faced another inwards to another wall of the hotel, no daylight! also a loud AC tube next to it outside which was very noisy. The bathroom was small but clean, lots of fresh towels.

The breakfast buffet was very good with all sorts of bread and rolls, sweets, meats and cheese, juices, fruit, eggs, etc.

The pool was a disappointment! I had booked the hotel especially because of this, but it was tiny and had a few sun chairs around it, the pool are was rather shabby, no bar, no umbrellas, or any other things. Moreover, the pool area was closed for several days!

The internet access point in the lobby wasn't working either. I think if you bring your own equipment you can dial in to their WLAN though.

The hotel staff at the reception were rather uninterested, they did their duty (pull out a map and mark it for you) but that was it.

Overall it wasn't too bad but I guess there must be better hotels in Valencia for the same price!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room that has daylight!

“Nice hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2010

Visited this hotel with 9 others girls as part of a hen weekend and we had a very pleasant stay here. It was ideally located for us to visit the beach, port and city ventre by taxi and even the airport was only a 15min drive away. The three things that let it down in my eyes were the breakfast (Holiday Inn across the road was much better), tiny pool and pricey bar bills.

“Very good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

The hotel has advantages and disadvantages, but overall a very sensible choice for your money. Firstly, breakfast - neither before or after in Spain we didn't saw such wonderful breakfast. Everything you want to eat in the morning + dessert, just in case. Secondly, WiFi - in the previous review from September 2009 it was said that there is no free WiFi. I've got good news - in July 2010 there is free WiFi, signal of good quality and speed. Thirdly, the hotel has a complimentary Shuttle Bus to city beaches. A bit incoherent schedule, but in general a good option. Among the shortcomings worth mentioning is often busy reception desk. Perhaps the problem can solve by another one additional employee. The hotel's location, on the one hand, very good - near L'Oceanografic, near shops with everything you need till day (water, food, fruit). On the other hand, location is far away from Metro, only buses solve situation (many of them didn't work after 11PM), a couple of times we had to walk on foot from the center. 45 minutes leisurely walk from the main station, if anyone interested. I tend to think that this is a problem of Valencia in general (not very well-developed metro network), rather than a specific hotel.
