This is NOT a 5-star hotel, though it is billed as one. We unfortunately did not consult trip advisor before booking our hotel--big mistake. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the staff is rude/uninterested/unhelpful, and the room stink (literally). The fridge was broken and when the A/C was turned on, the room smelled moldy. Avoid this hotel!!

I have to write another not so good review. Hotel Sidi Saler Valencia, a want to be 5 star hotel it shines at 3 and a half in my opinion. First of all, the rooms are not what you see on their website, they are small, with old carpet, plastic chairs and squeaky beds. The hotel wants to look new but it’s aged a lot. The breakfast is very limited; don’t expect much, you will be disappointed. The club sandwich which normally in a 5 star hotel costs 9-10 Euros, here is 13 Euros, without the fries .
The sea water pool is nice, the public beach is on the door steps of the hotel, and is quiet, clean, with soft sand, beach beds and umbrellas at 3-4 Euros/day. Internet at the hotel will cost you 22Euros/day .... !!!

After reading the reviews I was apprehensive about booking this hotel, the reason we chose this hotel was because my husband is currently working in valencia and we wanted to stay with him for a couple of weeks and this was the nearest hotel which was on the beach near where he works. The hotel itself is a little worn but is spotless, we had a junior suite on the third floor (which was massive) and the aircon wasn't working properly, after a few days of someone coming to the room and shaking there head, we went to mikayla in guest relations within hours she offered us the same room on the floor above and aircon worked perfectly. Mikayla is worth her weight in gold she sorted out any questions we had and also helped us with where to go/eat and always had a smile on her face (unlike a lot of the staff working there). Everyday we had fresh towels and clean bedding and the maids did a fab job of cleaning the rooms. We were booked in for breakfast only and I have to say its the best breakfast we have ever had the choice and freshness of the food was spot on. The pool is clean and the kids love it, the beach was clean (the water wasn't the best but your just up the road from the docks) but if you decide to go for a walk along the beach you will see lots of naked sunbathers! The position of the hotel is in a remote area with nothing around not even a bar/restaurant but the free shuttle bus will take you into valencia where there are loads of eateries. The food in the hotel is expensive and not designed for children but if you ask they will cook them a bolognese. Overall we had a relaxing stay and would recommend it if you can get a good deal (they will move on price if you ring the hotel direct which is what we did).
