We booked a 'superior' room at this hotel to finish a tiring week travelling around Spain on business. We used the website go2spain and paid for the room (£75) before travelling. We had business appointments in Torrevieja the following day but wanted a bit of R&R first so booked a room with a large bed, large balcony, sea view and jacuzzi. When we arrived we were given a key (but no apologies or explanation that we might not get what we wanted) to a very disappointing room on the side of the hotel, no balcony and no jacuzzi. We were so tired we didn't bother to complain, just had a cup of tea and wandered down to the bar. On the way I questioned the receptionist who told me that no superior rooms were available, despite them being aware of our booking. A 'business' client had extended his stay and they'd given him our room!! We ended up driving half-an-hour down the coast to a very nice room in a sister hotel but with no sea-view, no time for dinner and with very frayed nerves. In addition we were late for our appointments the next morning because of the traffic getting back into Torrevieja and difficulties parking. The hotel was also full of people in MASA international uniforms and their offices. Not a relaxing place to stay unless that's what you're there for I guess.
