Having stayed here at least twice a year for the last ten years thought I'd write a review.
I book via Beninter.es the office being 20 yards along the road from these apartments.
I look after my pennies so the Gemelos2 apartments are very reasonable for the price. Pleas note that if you DO NOT book through Beninter you could be put in a room that's not so good, which I have also experienced. These rooms are very central next to the yellow brick road and opposite the magic roundabout restaurant. Excellent security with guys on the lookout nearly all the time. The lifts are small, very small mobility bikes and wheelchairs no problem but bigger ones are, as there is nowhere to stand them overnight and charge them up. I've always found them to be quiet ( except the odd clipperty clop of ladies in heels) there are also residents in some of these rooms. Maids are usually once a week, with a change of bed linen and towels.the rooms are spacious, the one bedroom ones sleep four, and there are some two bedroomed ones and some of those with 2 bathrooms also, ok for a group or big family. There is the usual cooker and oven, microwave, fridge and in most a washer and iron and coffeemaker ..... Plenty of pots pans and cutlery and utensils. The balcony is a good size with the usual furniture, clothes horse etc, it is enclosed with sliding windows( handy for kids) but can be opened right up in hot weather, haven't been in one yet that has air con.Beware of room D as it's next to the rubbish shute and folk send their rubbish down at all times in the night!! If you need anything go to Beninter office, they are very friendly and helpful.. I even leave a bag with them for a small fee... Collect it next time I go... Saves on overpacking especially with a 15kg limit!
The pool/ garden area is well maintained and very clean... There are NO beds.we buy blow up ones and just take them with us every day. The pool is usually full May till end of September then it's drained for the winter months. A BIG DOWNSIDE for us is that the pool area doesn't open till 11am Which is wasting half our day really as we are up early! We tend to go to the beach till about Noon then go to the pool..... Think it's because they have to pay a lifeguard!! It's open till 8.30pm.
Underneath the apartments is a big garage(-1 in the lift) but you need a key from Beninter to be able to use it!
There are bars and eating places all around these apartments also a couple of cheap Bodegas 25 yards along the road, also a further 35 yards is a large supermarket and opposite that is a tobacconist, the big outdoor Market is a bit further along on the same road! ... Roll on May!!
