My wife & I stayed here 26th April to 1st May 2009. We normally stay at the Don Pancho but as it was earlier in the year than we usually go, we decided to stay closer to the old town, just in case the weather wasn't so good.
The hotel is bright modern with an impressive array of facilities. The hotel has around 20 floors with a fabulous roof top a la carte restaurant, bar and terrace with spectacular views. We requested and were given a room on a high floor with great sea views. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained.
Be warned dinner didn't start until 8.00pm which was rather late for us, although the time could change for high season. If you went for 8.00pm it was fine as most of the Spanish don't eat until 9.00pm onwards.
The food was very good but you need to bear in mind that 90% of the people using the hotel are Spanish, so the food tends to slant towards their tastes. However, it was varied and well presented, although more attention needs to be paid keeping it hot.
Staff were very efficient and generally very friendly. Little in the way of entertainment but some dancing for the Spanish people and it was fun to join in!
Very handy for the old town, bus stops, taxi and train station if you want to get out and about, especially if you get a wet day.
