“Excellant Hotel, Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2009

My wife & I stayed here 26th April to 1st May 2009. We normally stay at the Don Pancho but as it was earlier in the year than we usually go, we decided to stay closer to the old town, just in case the weather wasn't so good.
The hotel is bright modern with an impressive array of facilities. The hotel has around 20 floors with a fabulous roof top a la carte restaurant, bar and terrace with spectacular views. We requested and were given a room on a high floor with great sea views. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained.
Be warned dinner didn't start until 8.00pm which was rather late for us, although the time could change for high season. If you went for 8.00pm it was fine as most of the Spanish don't eat until 9.00pm onwards.
The food was very good but you need to bear in mind that 90% of the people using the hotel are Spanish, so the food tends to slant towards their tastes. However, it was varied and well presented, although more attention needs to be paid keeping it hot.
Staff were very efficient and generally very friendly. Little in the way of entertainment but some dancing for the Spanish people and it was fun to join in!
Very handy for the old town, bus stops, taxi and train station if you want to get out and about, especially if you get a wet day.

“Good Central Hotel”

This hotel is centrally located for the beach, and old and new town we really could not see ourselves staying anywhere else as location is our top priority. The hotel and rooms are kept spotlessly clean. We had a lovely room on the tenth floor at the front of the building with views over the sea. The only downside for us was that the food is predominantly spanish. We stayed on half board basis. The breakfast was fine, cereals, toast, eggs, you could always find something, dinner was a different matter though. We will definatley return to the Maderia Centro but on B&B basis only.

“Don't go anywhere else”

Don't spend anymore time reading through countless reviews. If you are a couple without kids, want the classiest, best hotel right in the centre of Benidorm with fantastic panoramic views, situated right next to the old town and 200m from the beach, book this. Nothing else comes close.
Do yourself a favour and book the hotel direct, b & b only for a fantastic full breakfast and eat out each night.
You will not be disappointed.

“Good Hotel....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2008

Location
Situated 2 mins walk from the beach in the Old Town. Only 5 mins walk to the Centre of the Old Town and 10 -15mins walk in the other direction to the busy 'British' bars of the New Town.

Rooms
Fair sized room. A TV was available;it showed CNN, Sky News and Eurosport. The balcony was a good size. It is a very modern and clean hotel. I was staying on my own in this hotel (the rest of my party were in the New Town). I got a double room for myself at quite a reasonable rate.

Meals

Breakfast - You could have a fried breakfast eg sausages, fried egg, sausages, beans toast and/or something more Continental eg croissants and cheese. Orange juice was available. To be honest, after a week I was sick of the smell of sausages and bacon.

Lunch/Dinner - these were pretty similiar. You could have unusual fod such as bull tail or more mainstream meat and fish. Chips were available everyday. Fish or chicken tended to be boned not filleted.

Hotel Facilities
The hotel had an outside lift with panoramic views of the Old Town - but this year this was only available for people going to the posh restaurant on the 2oth floor. There was a very small outdoor pool and another modest indoor pool. A gym was available for a few Euros a day. If you are interested in hotel cabaret style entertainment that was available;it catered for Spanish tastes.

Guests
Mainly Spanish and predominantly 'older', although there were some families.

Overall, this is the second time I was at the Madeira centro; I was there the previous year. However, if i go back to Benidorm again I think I'll go to a hotel in the New Town - nearer to the nightlife and where I'm not one of the youngest guests!
