“Hotel Brasil, Benidorm”

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and quite honestly would not recommend it. Whilst the rooms and amenities were comfortable enough for what we paid we cannot recommend the food and dining room. Mostly the food, both at breakfast and dinner, was cold and unappetising. There was no choice of dessert - just cake or fresh fruit. It is a Spanish hotel for the Spanish and we were the only English party in the hotel. The only views from the rooms are the apartment blocks opposite or the police station.

“Not very good for food or if you cannot speak Spanish”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2007

IThe hotel was typical 2 star and was very clean with appropriate facilities. The hotel catered predominately for Spanish guests and this was evident from the lack of English speaking receptionists (although they were very helpful and polite) and rubbish food served. We hardly ate anything at the hotel despite being half board, which made the holiday very expensive by the end of the week.We actually booked out on Thursday because of this.
The bar was rarely open and there was no clarity in relation to its opening times. The pool is small and there were no sunbeds, although it didn't really get the sun due to location in built up area.
There is a police station directly outside and every morning there are people queing to apply for permits etc, causing a lot of noise for those on the front, some of these people were waiting from midnight the previous evening. According to other guests , the rooms to the side were not much better.
The location of the hotel is fine in relation to the town.
However, in conclusion, our short break turned into an expensive time due to the food situation and I would never use the hotel again and I would be reluctant to use Thomas Cook if there was an alternative.

just dont go.we were the only english in the hotel.
me my hubby and daughters aged 17 and 12 all crammed into 1 little room, our beds side by side.no hairdryer or air con.food ok at first but then the smell started to make you feel sick everyday in the foyer.no sun loungers and the pool was so small and full of spanish.we were right in the heart of the spanish residents and could not wait to get home.

25/09/05 Just returned from a weeks stay in the hotel brasil. The hotel itsself was clean but in much need of modernisation.Food wise and entertainment wise was only for the spanish.Web site stated hairdryer and tv in all rooms this was not the case,i myself allways use a hairdryer and did not take one with me so i had to go and buy one.Myself or my partner would not stay there again nor recommend it to family or freinds.
