“Good Value and Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2011

bit of a culture shock after being used to four and five star hotels, but for what we paid this was fine. Although very basic it had everything we needed, kettle oven etc and it was clean. The location was excellent right on the corner of the old town where you could find all the authentic tapas bars annd a couple of minutes walk from the beach front. Benidorm palace is a must we paid 55 euros got a five course meal a bottle of wine and half a bottle of cava. The show was fantastic.
All though there is not a pool at the studios, you could use the facilities of a four star hotel about five min walk away which had a pool gym and bar.
On our last night we went for a meal at the Jardin meditarnio on the front where I had a fantastic paella and the service was excellent I would recommend it.

“Basic Accommodation”

Located in the middle of the old town over one of the shopping streets. South end of Levante so away from the rowdiest Brit Clubs and Bars. It is noisy both day and night: the smallest sound seems to be amplified up between the buildings so take your earplugs. Staff are friendly and helpful. Other guests are likely to be noisy though. Stag and Hen parties use these studios. You will be fined if the rooms or equipment are damaged or if the extinguishers are let off. We were sent to Estudios II, a short distance down the block. Small galley-type kitchen, bedroom/lounge and bathroom. Bathroom has decent shower. Beds were two singles pushed together, mattresses had the plastic sheet to suit bed-wetters. Small TV in room, only English channel was Sky News cut-down version. Small balcony, good for people watching. You are allowed to use the facilities of a sister Hotel about 5 minutes away (3*?).
First evening of our stay I had to remove a 'roach who was living on the curtain in the bedroom. Not nice! Had to make sure the wife did not see this creature otherwise she'd have run straight out the hotel and never gone back again! Didn't see another one though and otherwise the rooms were very clean.

“Basic clean cheap & cheerful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2010

This is the third time staying at these apartments, very helpful staff on reception as always, room clean basic and really cheap, a nice balcony overlooking walkway so you can sit and people watch all day, steep steps up to reception so not suitable for disabled although I managed with my walker with help (whoever on reception always willing to help) yes its very noisy during the night not so much with drunks (although we had a couple this time) its the cleaning they do all night, dustbins first then the road sweepers, then the road washers then the tidy up behind them all. Cant say that this end is dirty, there are always street cleaners going around all day the rubbish doesn't even hit the ground! Not suitable for young children or babies as they would be disturbed by the noise at night. You get a ticket to use the sister hotel which is about 500 yards up the road it has indoor heated pool, bar, restaurant and other facilities and its lovely to sit and relax. The good thing about these apartments is they are right in the middle of old town, so if you are looking for something out of the disco/club area this is great for you, heating/air con very good but no sky TV this time, he said they not have it now so no english speaking TV :( plenty of glasses cups plates and whatnot, oven, micro kettle, lots of hot water and fair size bathrooms. I enjoy the estudios either staying myself (a woman in early 40;s) on my own I felt quite safe knowing someone always on reception, or with a friend just for a relaxing book reading people watching week. Although I have marked it no pool or rest etc these are available in sister hotel. Good shops/supermarkets, stalls, spanish shops british cafes so all are catered for. Lovely bakery downstairs which make brilliant hot waffles and ice cream, lovely pizza place too. About 500 yards from the beach on a straight road, no hills around apart from one on the left as you come out but that road not really a shopping road so no worries. To sum up estudios is not the hilton, if you want the hilton pay hilton prices, its cheap very clean, and basic, it is what it is, we going back in October again.
