a good cheep clean hotel basic but spotless like most we just needed a base to stay. just go down the hill for the poiniennte beach is fantastic clear blue water no nasty rocks to slip on plenty of sun beds on your way down the hill pop in large supermarket for your drinks 21c for a small water or 50c for large 55c for a carton of wine ideal for relaxing on balcony .meals were basic but there is salads fruit ice cream. if you are traveling with friends ask for a corner room we had 517 with a huge balcony it was huge nice to sit with a glass of wine in evening if your not out. as with some of the reviews there is sometimes a smell in the corridor but it passes and walls are thin but i found the Spanish guests mostly nice i think they must think us Brits loud and are weary of us just smile and be friendly even though we didn't speak Spanish a smile goes along way. so enjoy the campasol.

went to the camposol with 3 friends, was dreading going as i had read the reviews. on arrival it looks a bit scruffy and we hurried inside.Once inside though it was clean and tidy, the staff at the reception where polite and answered all the questions that we had. when we got to our rooms, they where spacious and very clean. Breakfast was fine, you could have as much as you wanted. we used the hotel has a base, somewhere to rest our heads at night.there was a slight smell when you came out of the lift but that was gone when we' got to our rooms. the pool was fine mostly in the shade but we did like that after a day in the sun it wsa somewhere to cool down. If you want basic clean accomadation i would recommend this hotel. We would definately go to this hotel again

Well what can i say. i think frankly that for £17.50 you coulnd't expect anything decent so i guess you get what you pay for. The food is the worst i've ever had in benidorm and i've stopped in 4 different hotels in the past 4 years. Basically you get a choice of chips, some meat, either lamb, chicken etc. It all looked awful and tasted the same too. I don't think that the chef was trained by Jamie Oliver. Ice cream was fine, fruit was fine and the soup wasn't bad it was jut the veg, meat and funny looking chips. Chips with everything basically. I was too scared to eat the prawns one day however some of my mates did and as far as i know they are still alive. The staff were friendly however so no complaints there. The rooms! Well the room we had did have a 3ft x 3ft balcony, and on the right was a view of a plastered wall, and on the left was someone else's room window. Very Bizarre ! There was also a little window above the bath, and when you opened it about 1ft away was another window over our neighbouring rooms bath.. That could have been slightly embarrasing, although it was our mates that was in that room so that did cause a bit of a chuckle.

just back from camposol, i read the reviews and was dreading it as i had chosen it for myself and 3 friends.
we arrived and yes it looks scruffy, we found it ok we just used it as a base, you are 5 mins away from the old town, we walked up to poiniennte beach its quieter, go to kates kitchen at hendrys for food is great we went everyday., nite got o michaels in the old town its fantastic. Taxis are close by you cant fault the location of the hotel, towels changed day, beds made, breakfast is continental or bacon eggs beans, unlimited drinks juices milks cold water. we paid £58 each for 4 nights. The pool is shady apart from a small area, and there are no sunbeds, we just called and sat at the pool after the beach, if you have walking difficulties i would stay clear of this hotel as to get to shops restaraunts, bars, you have to go down a hill, paths quite crowded at times. overall good value for money, we will go again. lots of spanish there wear earplugs as they are up and talking loudly very early . tracy bolton

We booked 5 nights at The Camposol and then read the reveiws on gere. We were horrified by what we had read. HOWEVER upon arrival the staff were polite. The room they gave us had twin beds, we asked to be changed it was not a problem they changed it without hesitation. The room was very clean and adequate for a 2 STAR HOTEL.

The food was of a similar standard to a works canteen BUT it was edibe and the salad bar was very well presented. The breakfast was not very good at all to be honest but we managed on egg on toast. The restuarant sold bottles of wine at 3 euro's and bottles of water at 1 euro. Drinks in the bar were cheap enough as well.

There WAS the occasional smell in the corridors but NEVER in the rooms.

This hotel, its staff and the surroundings were more than adequate for a 2 STAR HOTEL. I would certainly stay there again no problem at all.

I have stayed in 5 star hotels etc which cost a damm site more than this hotel did and lets face it if you want a cheap break with clean bedding near the beach this place is perfect.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR SIMPLE AS THAT.
