We Stayed here July 2011, had a great time, the pools are not ideal if you have small children as the seating is not right by them but to be honest we used the pools at the other magic hotels most of the time, the one close by was great although the resturnat not as good as rock garden and we traveled out to the others. had a great time overall, a few teething problems at first as it was the first year of all inclusive and there was some confusion and descrepancies. They also had an English Bar and a Spanish bar which caused issued but by the end of our fist week things were mixing better. The food was the best and the staff were great at dealing with issues, we asked for chairs outside one of the bars one night anf the next night there was an outdoor seating area, we asked for place mats and within minutes were given place mats. the whole expeirnec was great, we met some fantastic people out there. My olny issue wold be lack of entertainment for the little ones and the pool area not idea. But please try the other magic hotels in benidorm and surrounding as you will not be dissapointed!

Room Tip: we had the pleasure of the newly refurbished rooms and they were huge and gorgeous but i did miss a...

“Brilliant all inclusive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We stayed here for a week all inclusive from the 29th October 2011 and had a brilliant time. The all inclusive drinks were amazing if you get the ultra all inclusive card, pints of lager (heineken if i remember rightly) bottled beers and branded spirits, not those piddly plastic cups you need to have five of to make a normal sized drink you get in other all inclusive hotels.

The hotel is a short walk from the main nightlife which is brilliant, its close enough to walk to the bars in heels but far enough away that the hotel was nice and quiet at night and away from any busy roads. I hadn't been to Benidorm before but now can't wait to go back! The bars all have shows on every night and are really cheap in comparison to other resorts in Majorca and Ibiza. We came across a cafe called John and Joseph's who do a mean breakfast for about 1.50 and a bottles of Mahou for 99p/1.20euro (I didn't drink these with my breakfast I might add!)

The food in the hotel is perfectly edible, and also do an english breakfast but often we missed this due to the late nights out in Benidorm.

The british bar Mogambo is a fun way to start your evening; we had a few drinks here and played the quiz/bar games before heading out. There is a big bowl of crisps on the bar to help yourself to and go lovely with a nice bottle of Estrella!

The pool area is shaded at certain times of the day and the pool was too cold to have a dip in October/November so we used to go to the beach for the day.

Rooms are lovely; we were lucky enough to get a room on the first floor and it was huge! However, it was a room for disabled people and the bathroom was a wet room and had no bath. The shower was the height of my belly button and wouldn't go any higher so I had to sit on the floor to have a shower; inconvenient but it didn't spoil my holiday. The water also got the whole room soaking (and the towels and my clean clothes) and the water used to flow under the bathroom door and in to the passage of our room so my partner used to have to put a rolled up towel at the other side of the door when I went in the shower. The bed was a double with a memory foam mattress which was very comfortable. Rooms do not have balconies, just big sliding windows. Not a problem for us.

Overall, a brilliant hotel, excellent facilities, perfect for a cheap week away. Will be returning in 2012 and I can't wait.

“Nice family summer holidays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

We visited this hotel in July 2011. Overall the reviews said that there should be problems in bars, staff, etc. However we are not English or Spanish guests - we are Russians from Latvia :) So I cannot mention any problem with reception - a very polite men here, especially chief of the reception who have explained everything we wanted and was so surprised to see people from Latvia - could not figure out where this country is and was so glad to greet us at the hotel :) The rooms are good, rather spacious and clean. We had 7th floor and could see see and pool from the window - at night the view was especially nice. The food is rather diverse having special children menu. We were on AI basis with excursions and that's was a really good offer as we managed to visit everything we were offered.

The location is good, however the hotel is a bit on the hill, so it might be a little difficult to go up to the hotel if you have any health issues in this relation. In any other case the hill is so small :)
Already booked another hotel of the Magic chain for June 2012.

“reception on floor -2”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

after a 6 hour flight delay at Gatwick we arrived at the airport glad to find the transport arranged was waiting for ourselves and others. We were the last off the coach and the driver left us by the back entrance at 2.30 am. after locating a lift as the hotel was in semi darkness we tried to check in but had no idea where the main reception was, which was not signposted from the '2nd reception', after about half hour I discovered it on floor -2, the man at the desk said he only worked 1 night a week and our room had not been saved.
It's now gone 3am and after a long tiring day was not good news, he said we could stay in 2 rooms for that night and be given a bigger room when day staff arrived. We went to the first room and just slept in there as other room was 2 floors away, it took until 4pm before I was given keys to the larger room. Now for the hotel.
The pool at the hotel is small for such a large place but an area is dedicated to young children and there are some water slides in a separate part. the food was buffet style, plentiful, varied and adequate with enough choice for anybody. There was a bar for the English and the other bar for Spanish although anyone could go in either. A short hill would lead to the beach and promenade, Benidorm was cheap and lively, all I expected apart from one thing, the sea was full of rocks and boulders which made for most unpleasant swimming.
