This was our second year at the Selomar, and our tenth time in Benidorm over a 30 year period. Not the best food in Benidorm but OK, not the greatest room but again perhaps better than average, definitely not great entertainment but the location is undoubtedly the best. You are situated between the old and new town right on perhaps the nicest promenade in Spain, where everyone heads for each morning if they have no headache. In Nov., 2005 we arrived and were shown our room, somewhere on the side facing a wall which blocked everything out, we were not happy and would not have stayed. After consultation with the receptionist we agreed to pay 20 euros each per day, a total of 280 for 2 weeks, and it certainly was worth it. Every day we had the sun shining on us from 8 in the morning to 6 at night and had a great holiday, so much so that we repeated the experience in 2006. In conclusion the hotel generally would be average but if you enjoy a great view of sea and beach and want to watch the world go by , go for a room at the front.
