On our arrival at 2.30pm we were dropped off the coach at the bottom of the 73 steps, which was understandable due to the narrowness of the road. When we arrived in the hotel our rooms were ready and the man on reception informed us dinner was still being served in the restaurant (as we were all inclusive) We asked for double and got twin beds which were very uncomfortable, we asked for rooms on the same floor but got 1023 and 823 We also had a fantasic view of Benidorm. Yes it was full of Spanish elderly people, whom were very ignorant at meal times and queing for the lift. It was like every man for themselves!!!! We thought the entertainment was also for the elderly Spanish. Latin dancing etc all in Spanish. The hotel rooms are very clean and the dinner and teas were very good with a variety of chicken, fish, pork, beef, paella, salad, pasta and plenty of fruit and desserts, also breakfast was of good variety. The All Inclusive was very worthwhile apart from having to go out at night for a drink due to the entertainment programmes. We loved Benidorm but would not visit Cabana Hotel again due to them not having entertainment for the English and having to spend money in the bars on the sea front in the old town. The location of the hotel is 5mins from the shops beach. Overall we had a good break but would tell any English to find a hotel elsewhere in the old town. The weather was lovely too 20 degrees every day. The pool area was very good with plenty of sun loungers but the pool was freezing which was to be expected in November. A break away is what you make of it.
