“DONT BE PUT OFF BY THE LOCATION”

The Palm Beach Hotel in Benidorm is great. It has everything. It has a very impressive entry with an exceptional foyer, where the staff were very helpful on arrival. The rooms are quite basic, but adequate. Clean towels every day, clean glasses etc. The restaurant is buffet style which we found very good indeed, there was something for everyones taste. Personally I loved the salad bar. The staff were exceptionally helpful and nothing was a bother. There is entertainment everynight, and some nights were better than others. The hotel is situated quite far back from the promenade, but the hotel run a bus which is every half hour. If you go down by bus in the evening, then taxi back is around 6 euros as bus finishes around 9.30. This is great service, but it only takes you to two locations, start of promendade or old town which is at the opposite end of beach. We would definitely go back to this hotel. It is very big hotel and the restaurant can get very very busy, especially at weekends, as the spaniards use if for weekend breaks. Food is plentiful and the staff cope well. The downside is the noise level.
All in all i recommend this hotel as a comfortable satisfying hotel, but I would suggest in the summer months, it would be pandemonium in the restaurant, but for a winter break, I would recommend it 100%. Our weather at the beginning of January was excellent, but we chose to go to the beach as the hotel is surrounding by other apartments and therefore pool is shaded, we prefer the beach. Thanks for reading, I hope you have a lovely time if you go.

Room Tip: The only tip I could give would be first floor on the left of building looking from entry does not h...

This Hotel is set on a very steep hill, you 'll have quite a difficult walk down to the Beach or Nearest Shops. The Pool is shaded and I found I had to move my lounged around the pool to catch the sun :(
The staff in the Restaruant are very pleasant, but the staff in the Bar aren't quit as friendly. The Entertainment is also very poor.

“Very Good Value Avoid Room 105!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

When driving around Benidorm arriving at some of the hotels can be a put off as some are tired and in need of some TLC. The Palm beach is not like this and has an attractive outlook followed by a impressive reception area.

The staff at this hotel are second to none at any of the large Spanish hotels i have stayed in. They checked us in quickly and efficiently and made us feel very welcome.

The only downside to our stay was the view from our room which was of the monstrosity on top of the hotel nightclub (which we heard no noise from ). The advise is if you get room 105 say no..................The rooms and corridors are clean and basic in need of update, but they are clean and airy what more do you want to be honest............ lets get real for the price you pay for this hotel what more do you want.

We hired a iron for 20e which was returned on check out. Can anybody tell me why is lighting for getting ready in hotels always terrible i hate that! the Palm Beach was very dark at night in the room (personal taste i suppose)

The food at this hotel is good........not 4 star (sorry!) there is a average level of choice with a good level of quality....................however saying.......... that i got more for my money than i would have got at say a best hotel or servigroup etc so i was happy! There was your normal fish meat chicken in different forms. It was mostly hot sometimes lukewarm but i came to the conclusion that this was because of the inconsistent sitting times and Spanish late dinners.

The service from staff in the hotel is brilliant very warm and friendly and if you buy a bottle of wine they will keep it in the fridge if you dont drink it all !!! leave a little tip in there basket they deserve it! Watch out for chicken nuggets at breakfast! wierd !!.......and champagne and strawberry....talk about catering for everyone lol

The bar area and entertainment is very typical Spanish and its a bit 1970s but again the staff are great and the drinks bad prices as hotels go.

There is a fully equipped gym heated pool and sauna very good.

Then there is the hill...........................to keep it simple if you have mobility problems, heart or resp issues the hill will be a problem. We found the walk a invigorating hangover cure and a way to kill a few calories some parts are steep but once your down the beach isnt far!

Overall a good hotel and i will for sure stay again....................if you get a good price book it because its very good and looks like the pool area would be lush in the summer.

Room Tip: not 105!!! 2nd floor or higher im sure they will be happy to help!

“Climb every mountain !”

Palm Beach is not a bad hotel, and I have stayed twice and always found it to be good. The food was buffet style and plentiful. yes, like most hotels in Benidorm the food can be odd and does cater to the Spanish palate, but it is in Spain, so should be excused this minor quibble. The staff are attentive and polite.

The rooms have good beds, good bathrooms and are all very clean and tidy and the maid service is very good. The maid, bless her, left a small souvenir for us on the last day, a small little ornament, and it was a nice and welcome touch. yes the ornament would have cost very little and yes, she got a tip for it, but it was a nice touch and we didn't feel pressured to tip, just felt we wanted to for the service she gave us all week.

My partner was ill one day and they allowed me to bring cups of tea up all day (it's her medicine, tea) and they were genuinely concerned and asked about her. The second time we stayed, the ceiling tiles in the Bathroom fell in late one night whilst we were watching TV and with the minimum of fuss they got us a alternate room and were very attentive and apologetic.

The only issue that I have with Palm Beach is the hill it is built on. Its know in Benidorm as "Heart Attack hill" and the walk back is a nightmare, certainly if you are old or disabled. I am in my early 40s and to be honest not that fit, but the thought of the hill did fill me with dread. Most of the times I got a taxi back rather than climb the hill (it's only about 400m to walk, but VERY steep). To be fair the Palm Beach give you free bus tickets and there is a shuttle bus in operation, but if you miss one there is a 25 minute wait. This would be the only down side to th Palm Beach.

“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Fifteen of us (lads) stayed here for for my brothers stag weekend in March 2011, and we all agreed it was well worth the money.

We went all inclusive which saved us loads of money of drinks. We drank every night until 11ish before heading into the town! The food was nice, and was as good as can be expected for the price.

My only gripe was that they didnt let some of us into the saturday night disco for wearing trainers, however as you know you can get into all places in central Benidorm with trainers. When they realised that the disco wasn't busy, after about 20 they then called us back saying we can now come in! As you can imagine we politely refused.

Overall thoughreally good value for money with clean rooms.
