“Very good but sunbed problems”

We stayed at this hotel for seven nights half board in September and booked direct with Sol Melia central reservations. We booked a seaview room.
The hotel is in an excellent central position situated along side the beach. The guests are mainly Spanish and we did have some small problems with being understood. However if anything this enhanced the occasion.
The restaurant is very relaxing and attractive and the food was very good. The staff were polite and helpful. Our room was not large but adequate and was spotlessly clean and well serviced.
The hotel has a small reception area and there is limited seating but the bar has additional seats. The outside area around the small pool is not very large but is pleasant to sit in with a drink and watch the toings and froings along the promenade. There is very low key entertainment in this area every night in the shape of the usual male/female duo.
A very enjoyable hotel to stay in and would stay in again and have recommending to our friends.
There are two negatives, the first is really a room tip, if you book a sea view room do not have any of the rooms ending in 34 as these are very badly overlooked by rooms ending 01, this can be seen by looking at the hotel photo.
Finally if the management could do something about sun bed saving. There are only about 30 sunbeds and nearly everyone is occupied by a towel and no person for most of the day, every day we were there.
Once again despite this a very nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Do not have a seaview room ending in 34

“So clean & comfortable with a perfect location”

I ended up here by default. My original accommodation was in the centre of town, great location but a hovel of a hotel (El Trebol - don't go!!) After 3 nights of staying in hell, I popped into an internet cafe to try and find a better hotel in Benidorm that could accommodate us for the remainder of our week long holiday. I found this diamond so took a stroll along the prom to check it out. The guy on the desk was nice enough and when I told him the price i'd seen online, he knocked 100 euro off it. Great!! As the hotel was very busy, we were allocated a room on the back. Obviously I would've preferred a sea view but I was just grateful to be able to get a room in high season. It turned out perfect as the rooms on the back are a lot quieter which I appreciated when it came to bedtime for my 5 year old. The hotel was spotless, as were the bedroom & bathroom, sheets & towels. The beds were lovely and comfy with big fluffy pillows which I sank into. Just what I needed! The pool and terrace were also pristine and the pool-bar staff and their level of service and friendliness were by far the best we received during our week in Benidorm. (as well as Claire & co from the Queen Vic in town - superb!) I didn't eat in the hotel as I was meeting up with other family members who were still staying in town but I can highly recommend Barnies for breakfast - 1.50 euro for a Full English and the Queen Vic for fabulous homecooked dishes at decent prices for your lunch/evening meals. The staff always made our big group welcome and were great with my little boy. Great food and great atmosphere. If I was to return to Benidorm, I would definately stay at the Sol Costablanca again.

“Ok Hotel, but major issues with check-in and ect.”

It was a good hotel, but make sure you ask not to speak to Carlos at reception. Whenever a problem ocurred, he said ''Its not my problem'' or ''Its your fault''. When a internet code was stolen from our room, he was completely unhelpful, saying it was in our luggage, calling us stupid essentially. He also would not help us check in, when there was a problem with it that is. He made us pay again for the room! He is the sole reason this hotel is slightly unpleasent. Not to mention he was also very unpleasent to my mother, making her upset in our room. Nice sea view though.

Kind Reviews,
Elliot Johnson

Room Tip: Dont talk to Carlos about it.

“great location great hotel”

Hotel is in prime position and although a little dated we loved our stay. It was clean and the staff were really friendly. Food was varied and nice. There is rock bar next door but it did not spoil our stay and it all finished by midnight and it was not noisy. The position of the hotel was walking distance for the market Wed and Sat and also the old town plus all the entertainment around. Plus you are right on the beach where the sun beds and umbrellas cost 4 euros a day to hire and plenty of empty beach great' In short great hotel great position great holiday cant wait to go back. The hotel has duo playing every night with dancing.

Room Tip: request sea room
