We chose this hotel for a two-night stopover and it proved ideal. Our room faced the back and was quiet, with a pleasant view. The room and bathroom were spacious, the bed comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We paid 143 euro for two nights dinner, bed & breakfast for two which we considered good value. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was a secure private car park which cost an extra 10 euro per night. The only criticism is that the food was never really hot.
Albir is a pleasant resort with a good bus service into both Altea and Benidorm.

We have recently returned from a family holiday in Albir which was great but feel compelled to point out some important points in regard to the hotel Rober Palas.First of all there appears to be a discrepancy on different web sites concerning the stars allocated to this hotel ,it is definitely not a 4 star and in my opinion should be classed as a 2 star.Yes the staff were friendly the hotel was clean the food pretty average but it does not have any facilities.The pool area on the web sites looks great and i could just imagine myself relaxing on a sun lounger reading a book having the occasional beer from the bar but these images were soon shattered when we arrived as the pool area is nothing as it seems .The few sun-loungers ( approx 6 ) were all broken and they were squashed onto the footpath which led you to the pool because there is no space for a seating area by the pool.The other alternative for relaxation was the roof top terrace however this is deserted,,has no loungers and nothing like the images shown.
However despite all of this if you are looking for some where near to the beach and restaurants in the great resort of Albir then you can take your chance but make sure you are paying for what you get. May be our expectations were raised because we thought we were going 4* not 2 *

We stayed here for 3 nights in December and although the hotel was VERY quiet, the bar was quite lively at night with local Spanish people which was great. The staff were friendly and the rooms bright, modern and comfortable.
The buffet breakfast was good and included in the very reasonable room rate!
Will be visiting again for 4 nights in October this year and can highly recommend this hotel for value for money and location just a couple of minutes from the beach and restaurants in Albir.
