Arrived in Pamplona as the 4th city of my 34 nights/36 days Spain tour 2009.Traveled by car from Zaragoza.Easy acess to the city,but as the hotel is in the main square,all pedestrian zone,you have to call them when you arrive to open the "obstaculo".Asked a nearby hotel to phone,they open and I entered the Plaza del Castillo.The hotel location couldn't be better,right in the main square.
As the San Fermin feast would start monday july 6,the city was already full of people.
Front door person took care of the car.Check in fast and efficient.Standard room(402) was ok,with very good towels and bed clothes.Very good room service,turndown every evening,small chocolates,thick bathrobes(by the way 2 robes,1 thicker to use after shower and the other thinner...a special touch I've NEVER SEEN BEFORE.).Free wi fi in the whole hotel.The room is sensorized,when you enter the lights turn on.
Very eficient,professional and friendship staff,they help you in every matter you need with a smile.It helps because I speak spanish,maybe...As a frequent traveler,I always ask for restaurant reservations,best place to have coffee,where is the best shopping area...but they exceeded my expectations...they even found me a person to repair my shoes in the weekend!!!!!!!!!Even the breakfast is "a la carte"but overpriced( 25 euros plus 7 % tax).Check out efficient.The only thing to complain is the almost 200 euros daily rate for a standard room without breakfast and parking.

Just got back from a truly fantastic weekend wedding in Pamplona, was recommended to stay at La Perla as it had just been opened following a refurbishment and how fantastic it was! We could not find any fault, the staff were all so lovely especially the bi-lingual pretty receptionist. The rooms were stunning and attention to detail second to none. Set right in the square it really was the best hotel I've stayed in for a very long time and excellent value for money.

A wonderful place to stay at any time in the year, but especially during Feria de San Fermin. Rustic furniture in the rooms and beautiful Victorian furniture in all the lounges. The bathrooms have been updated. Any valuables can be put in the hotel safe. The staff are very trustworthy and will go out of their way to please the guests. It's a wonderful place to stay.

If you're doing Pamplona for the Festival de San Fermine, then this is THE hotel to stay at. No, it's not the Ritz, yes, you should be careful with your belongings, but this is the BEST location for the running of the bulls. The party is literally right out your front door. The hotel has a large dining room which overlooks the actual bull run so for the price of your room, you also get a free window on the action (great if you have friends who can take your picture as you come blazing by below). The front desk clerk doesn't speak English, so having some Spanish skills helps. They are very strict about who they let into the hotel at night so you don't have to worry about thieves coming in while you're out partying. The outside noise can be a problem, but I used it as an alarm clock to let me know it was time for yet another day of partying in Pamplona. But it's clean, it's a soft bed and the water is hot. I would stay here again just for the location.
