Pamplona was as far north as we could get with our frequent flier miles so we stayed at the Hotel Yoldi our first night in Spain before picking up our rental car. The hotel is rated as a 3 star, whatever that means in Spain, and afforded a pleasant stay in comfortable, modern and clean surroundings. We paid 74 Euros plus VAT for a double room booking directly with the hotel through the internet.
The hotel was very centrally located about a fourth of a mile from the main plaza and even closer to the bullring and a few interesting tapas bars. It cost 12 Euros to get there from the airport. Basically, this is a good, solid no frills hotel with ample, but no means spacious rooms, with clean looking modern furnishings and built-ins. The bath was all tile with a walk in shower and good (Grohe)) fixtures. There were ample supplies in the bath and a hairdryer.
The room had a flat panel TV and a safe. They had a breakfast buffet that appeared adequete for the price but, as reported elsewhere, we opted to go to the hotel bar or coffee shop and have coffee and a pastry.
The desk clerk, Isabell, was business like and efficient and warmed up considerably when I told her I was going to review the hotel on Trip Advisor when I checked out.
We had no problems with extraneous noise, the room temp was fine ( the AC actually worked)
but it took a little effort to find a non smoking room. The first room we were assigned smell badly of smoke but the second did not. I noticed that some of the rooms, but not ours, had signs on the doors specifying them as non smoking rooms. I never did figure that one out.
Overall our one night stay was pleasant with no untoward events that would keep me from recommending it to anyone.
