Have stayed here on a few occasions most recently November 2nd. A very good hotel located a short walk from the city centre with all its bars and restaurants. It's a proper 4 star hotel which serves a lovely buffet breakfast (I found a deal for 60 Euros with breakfast included on Otel.com). It has an indoor /outdoor bar and a large comfortable seating area in the lobby. Rooms are a good size with A/C and many freebies in the bathroom (toothbrush, razor, even cologne)! Free wifi in all rooms.

I'd travelled to Murcia for business and found Siete Coronas a good opportunity to stay in the city centre. Reception at the check-in was ok even if not as fast as it should be. Room was OK, bathroom large enough and clean. Wifi free and available both in the ooms as well in the common areas. Breakfast was really beautiful and full of any typical spanish delicacies, definitely 5* treatment.

Evidently the bedrooms have been refurbished and mine was absolutely fine - clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are helpful and pleasant and the free, albeit slow, WiFi is useful. The hotel is situated close to the bullring and a short walk from the cathedral. Breakfast was basic but there is a great cafe around the corner before the bullring for breakfast. I did not eat in the hotel and recommend the Plaza San Juan about five minutes walk there are some good restaurants. I particularly recommend La Pequena Taberna and La Parranda Pequena.

Booked this hotel through lastminute.com as one of their 'secret hotels' so didn't know what we were getting until we had confirmed the booking. The hotel was absolutely fine, well furnished room, bathroom a bit tight, very helpful staff on reception, great location right by the river and a few minutes walk from the old town.
The downside was that the hotel is really aimed at business travellers rather than leisure tourists. There are no leisure facilities, e.g, pool, at the hotel. The restaurant was only open for lunch. A full menu at a reasonable price was available in the evening but only in the bar, which was not particularly comfortably furnished or appealing (large screen t.v. above the bar constantly tuned into the football channel).
Murcia itself is quite easy to get around and the old town is attractive but much of it is suburban sprawl.
