I thought this hotel was excellent value for the money. Okay, the rooms are pretty small & crowded with the bed, but for the solo traveler there's a bunk bed above where you can sleep, and put all your stuff on the double bed below, which makes it feel much more roomy.
It's in a nice quiet semi-residential area, with a wonderful Italian restaurant, small bars & cafes right up the street, and a beautiful huge park a 5-minute walk away. Subway/bus totally convenient too.
The 5 euro charge for using WiFi is a big ripoff though. If they must charge, why not make it a couple of euros then most people would be willing to pay. We all need it!
The breakfast is not great, but it's okay if you need one before a flight. Cheaper than the airport. It would be nicer if we got plates for the bread/croissants instead of having to use napkins for plates!

I have scarcely seen a firmly closing window in a southern european etap, but this was the most intersting one. The window remained 5 mm open, even with closed handle. There were not even one way beakers in the room. The guy at the reception has been shouting all the night and could be heard in ma first floor room - although there was a door separating the ground floor from the rest of the hotel, but this was kept widely open. The carpet was dirty. The using of the WiFi costs 5 Euro extra and the underground parking 7 Euro! There must be better choises even in Madrid.

The hotel is hidden from street sight. You will see Ibis from the connecting road valentin beato. If you reach ibis first just ask the front desk for directions and they"ll send you to the etap by the back.
