January 16-18, 2012 was our third stay at this Hotel. The staff are very nice. The rooms are large and they seem to be all different from each other. We stayed in three completely different nice rooms. The location is EXCELLENT. For the cost of five Euros , both my husband and I, were able to take three subways trains directly from the airport to the hotel. Our walk from the Callao station to the Hotel was less than five minutes.

The walk to the Sol Station is approximately seven minutes. From there you can take the No.1 train four stops in order to connect with the railroad. Toledo is only a thirty-three minute ride on the railroad.

Plaza Mayor is very close to the Hotel. There are tons of restaurants in the area. The shopping is great, especially for souvenirs.

What a great location for walking, relativiely quiet, large room with a comfy bed and great shower, wonderful breakfast, helpful staff, free wireless. What more could you ask for? Decor is fun with an intentional 70's vibe.

I always stay here when I visit Madrid. I have now stayed here 5 times as have my friends. It is faultless. The staff are exceptional. Luca is great as is Xavier. Some of the other staff are a bit slow and lazy and not very good at languages but I usually deal with Luca. All the rooms are great, the duplexes are amazing!

I'm a big fan of the Room Mate chain and it seemed that Laura was a safe bet. It wasn't. We booked their most expensive room, the loft chic, and although it was bright and well appointed we could not sleep at night. The balconies and windows are not sound proofed which means that all sorts of noise fills in the room in the middle of the night. There's the rubbish collectors, the drunks singing, the garage underneath, the cars, the bikes and above all the hourly bells from the convent nearby. I'm not a light sleeper but I had two horrible sleepless nights in there and I had to buy ear plugs on the third. The staff is lovely but too aware of the problem. They showed us a handful of rooms but the only ones which seemed devoid of street noisy were also devoid of natural light (they were on the attic and had only small skylights). The property is nice and the rooms well priced given the location and the facilities. Breakfast was more than satisfactory given the pice. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this hotel as they desperately need to sound proof the property.
