Conveniently located for my business purposes, but a bit off from central tourist attractions and city center. However there’s a Corte Ingles around the corner and the posh luxury shopping street just ahead. Tube is anyway nearby, or just walk 20 mins to Sol.
DECO: As to the hotel, it’s very modern interior and might not be everybody’s taste. The reception is standard modern flair and not that fancy. The floors however are dark, dim and just poorly lit by indirect light. Kind of Sci-Fi spaceship flair, which I personally adore. The spacious rooms are also kept in dark/grey fabrics, modern furniture and translucent material with indirect lightning (e.g. blue lights under the bed). The bathroom is a state of the art mini wellness area, and only separated from the main room by a glass wall with classy nude motive on it. Good selection of international TV channels and free Wifi. Always clean and good bedding.
SERVICE: Sometimes the staff is a bit tight on English, but they are always keen to help you in their charming spanglish way (something you wont find that much as soon as you leave the hotel). Professional luggage storage system if early check-in or for the check-out day. Average sized breakfast buffet of good quality.
Rate was always around 125 and I'm happy to pay it. It's my fav hotel in Madrid!
