I stayed here for two nights, the first night I managed to get an upgrade to a top floor balcony room (noted worthwhile from previous reviews on this site) and it was definitely worth it.
With the addition of the balcony the stay that night was very pleasant, I was able to sit outside for most of the evening and get some much needed sun in the afternoon.
The balcony also has an automatic canopy.....that freaked me out the first time as I was out there enjoying the sun when suddenly this thing started coming out from the wall. I thought someone was in my room doing it!
I soon worked out how to set it to manual.

After that, I had to move back to a standard room. Once in a standard I felt like I could have been staying in any other non descript city centre hotel.
That said, the pool was nice. Don't expect to actually get any sunshine down there though as it is set in the middle of the buildings and the water was freezing (quite amusing as most people dipped in and then got out pretty quickly!) - would be a godsend in the height of summer though I guess.

The location of the hotel is excellent and I spent two days seeing the sights of central madrid on foot. It is also conveniently located to catch the tube (definitely the best way to travel)
The service in the hotel was good, friendly and accomodating so would happily return again.

The only food I had at the hotel was room service breakfast which was Eggs Benedict. I'm not a huge fussy eater and I was relatively happy but the eggs were ever so slightly underdone and the sauce was not freshly made. That said, the coffee they brought up was lovely.

This was the first stop on our honeymoon. The hotel was recommended by friends of ours that are from Madrid. Spent 4 days here. The location is NEW, safe, quiet... super clean hotel & rooms, so warm welcoming and modern. The concierge was great, they booked us an amazing Flamenco show. Our room had an awesome balcony that has an automatic sun cover when the sun is too bright, a little kitchenette. For two people over 6' the rooms were definitely small but there was something charming about that. Also, we spent most of our time walking around the city (great location) or on the balcony enjoying some wine so we were not very high maintenance.

Very good room, clean, spacious, with a kitchen embeded and a good shower. Fast connection free wi-fi. The location is excelent, in a quiet street, but still close to the city center and to the metro station. The only downside was the clerk that made the check in. He looked like very bored with his profession. But the rest of the time the clerks were friendly. I do recommend this hotel.

Stayed only for one night, excellent sums the hotel up, its not huge, but the rooms are immaculate, well sized and ideal for a couple or with a child) Large kingsize bed, writing desk, flat screen tv (though only could get about 6 channels - strange CNN only UK language) large bathroom, very good shower... air conditioned, kitchenette and stocked minibar. Its about 100 at the time of writing this review... in a nice way its good to keep this type of hotel under wraps.... but its a place id have no hesitation to recommend or stay at time and time again.

Couple of other points... its well positioned in the city, its is by the "Ministry of the Interior" and armed police are patrolling 24/7 and for example I had a hire car & was stopped by the police... but mentioned I was staying in the hotel etc... so security is really high.... oh it has a car park also just under €20 per night to park.

The hotel has a pool, so in the summer ideal to cool off..
