Although I was not impressed in any way by this hotel it did offer some advantages and was comfortable plus the reception was excellent. Arriving in Madrid late evening we wanted a hotel in the central area close to restaurants and clubs. No question that this hotel fits that bill perfectly. Secondly, being central it was important not to have the noise factor from traffic and again this hotel is perfect since it is situated on a pedestrian only street. having made the reservation only the same day the hotel had not received any record but the gentleman on the reception offered to let me use his PC and open my mail to show him the confirmation and price prepaid. He then said in return the hotel would offer free breakfast and he would get us a large room. The room turned out to be on the top floor with only a skylight but then for a one night stay during which we were out at clubs until 5am we were not particularly interested in the view! The room was large but that was because it was a family room with twin beds and a set of bunk beds. The bathroom was clean and functional as was the room. For then price paid (90 UK pounds) it was a good deal in our view and we were able to leave luggage all day with the front desk. Normally I would have stayed in the Intercontinental or a similar 5 star hotel as I do like the luxury but in this case the key factor was that all 5 star hotels in central Madrid would eithre require quite a walk or a taxi to get to the night club areas.

This little hotel is very well located and the bedroom is nicely designed... having said that, this is like sharing the room with the street and the next bedrooms. Its very noisy and quite expensive in regards to the poor quality of the hotel. The reception looks very poor even if the stuff was friendly.

Very good located modern hotel with free wifi. Breakfast is very good. You have free laptop in the room, alarm clock with charger for iPhone, white LCD Tv. The design is very modern. I book this hotel next time again.

Initially, we were upgraded to a superior room. We appreciated this, but found the room unbearable, due to street noise. The double glazing evidently does not work well. We ended up in a standard room, which was quieter, apart from the noisy air conditioning roaring away.
The room was not clean. There was dust and grime in corners. We had to ask for the sheets on the (hard) bed to be changed, as they were dirty and stained.
Our biggest disappointment (and shock!) was the bathroom door. It was see through glass and did not close properly. Personally, I prefer more privacy when using the wc. As a long married couple, we could (just) cope with this. It would be difficult and embarrassing for friends sharing.
Service at breakfast was poor, with not enough staff. The breakfast room was cluttered and disorganised and everyone kept bumping into each other.
We were also very disappointed with the in room wifi. We were unable to access our emails. Staff seemed unconcerned when we complained.
The location of this hotel is very central. However, if you value privacy in the toilet, want to check your emails and appreciate clean sheets, stay somewhere else!
