Location is very good - 30 min walk to Prado and Thyssen, 10 min walk to the metro. The room was great (junior suite) and very good value. Breakfast was also excellent - wide selection of 'heavy' and 'light' foods - lovely stock of fruits. WiFi and internet access charge. The size of the elevator is too small.

Si viajas a Madrid te recomiendo el Hotel Gran Velazquez, el cual se encuentra en el Barrio de Salamanca, muy buena ubicacion, habitaciones lujosas, muy comodas y excelente mantenimiento y precios solidarios.

This is an excellent alternative when selecting an hotel. It is located in a wonderful place with lot of restaurants, shops, boutiques.
As it is not a brand new hotel, the rooms are very big and confortables, also the bathrooms and they has a nice decoration.
The relation price-quality is excellent.
The only "but" : it doesn´t have a lobby, only a recepcion desk

old hotel, bad service and they charge you for internet which is free in most hotels. rooms are old and a bit uncomfortable and breakfast is horrible. Its not worth for money
