This review is a bit late since we spent 5 nights at this hotel in April 2011; however I wanted to add my voice to those who enjoyed their stay. We found this hotel by accident - we were staying nearby and didn't like the accomodations so we ventured forth to find something better. And we did right from the get go. I went up to the front desk, explained we were unhappy with our current hotel and could they offer something better? Of course they answered! We were shown both a regular room and junior suite and offered a discount. We reserved the suite and checked in the next day.
Let me say the suites are beautiful - very modern, spacious, and comfortable and decorated with antiquities. That's right - this modern hotel was started by an archaeologist and is decorated with various forms of primitive art. There is even a small museum on the lower floor! Unique and cool! I had never stayed in this combination before. Other things to love - computers right off the lobby offering free internet access, a great location only steps from the Retiro, Prado museum, and Gran Via. The only reason I'm giving four stars as opposed to five is the pool is a bit small and the gym not much to speak of. But other than that, I strongly recommend this property and would go back in a minute. Ole!
