Location is excellent, about 2 mins walk to Sol metro. Small rooms but that's to be expected in this location. First room they gave me smelt of sewage, which was something of a disappointment (rm 103), but they changed it without fuss and the second one was fine. Airconditioning wasn't working - when I asked they said it was turned off. OK, Madrid in November isn't the same as Madrid in July, but it's still nice to be able to cool the room down if you want to. What was working was the heating, which pumped out hot air all night and made the room almost impossible to sleep in. In the end I switched it off and opened a window, which worked but wasn't ideal especially as there was some sort of walkway directly outside. No laptops in the rooms, which after staying in a couple of other Petit Palaces was a bit of a letdown. Breakfast was excellent. Overall nothing really wrong with this place, but the Petit Palace Mayor is way better in my opinion.

Great location- we could walk to plaza meyor and puerta de sol as well as the prado and other museums. We thought the room was very small and cramped and bathroom oversized for the size of the room. Loved the balcony and view onto the street. Great to have refreshments when you walked in and throughout the day. Very clean. Laptops were brilliant and the free wifi useful. Most of all, we found the helpful little guy at reception (after 3pm) amazing. He printed off our boarding passes and gave us loads of information about attractions and restaurants. Overall an excellent stay!

We stayed in this hotel , the rooms are pretty big, sleep up to 4 people with a bunk bed, stay in the higher floor, nicer rooms.

Great little hotel right in the heart if Madrid with easy access on the metro from the train station. We had a quad and triple room. The triple had enough room and was very modern. The quad had a double bed and bunk beds which were comfortable. Each room even has its own laptop to use.
