An attractive hotel with excellent location - near to Puerta del Sol and other tourist sites, easy access to 2 metro lines. The hotel is just in a busy shopping district and in the same time on a small quiet street.
The rooms are clean and convenient, though not too big; well maintained hotel as a whole. The staff is friendly and helpfull in tourist advices and excursion arrangement,
Good breakfast, nice small restaurant in the hotel and several restaurants in the vicinity.
The hotel is recommendable both for business and tourist trips.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights, I realy dont think your going to find a better hotel better placed or better priced. hotel is well decorated with a lovely caffe bar restraunt serving good food. All the staff are helpfull and very pleasant. Our room was not hughe but clean and adequate, nice firm beds. We also had a lovely bathroom. Bonus of a daily stocked mini bar in the room nice touch. Breakfast was enjoyable plenty of choice, hot food and usual coisants, cereal, toast , yogurt and fresh fruit.Hotel is perfectly placed only a 5min walk to puerto del Sol and The Grand Via all other major sites abouit half an hour pleasant stroll with loads of local tapas bars and cafe's on route, in our opinion you wont want to miss this gem in this great city.

This hotel is ideally situated for a visit to Madrid. Most sites are within walking distance. The breakfast was more than adequate with good OJ, great coffee, ham, cheese, breads, etc - everything for a Spanish breakfast including the tortilla. The room was clean with plenty of room. Good value.

Three friends and myself stayed at Il Castillas recently and were delighted with our stay. It is a bright, comfortable Spanish style hotel, conveniently located for exploring Madrid and for using the Metro. It was kept spotlessly clean with marble floors and nice leather couches in the foyer area, and also a bar and restaurant.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful to us and friendly. The bedrooms are reasonably spacious and are cleaned to a high standard. We found it very quiet at night.

We very much enjoyed the breakfast each morning, which was always fresh with cold meats and cheeses, fruit, juices, toast and cakes and also scrambled eggs and bacon.

Overall, a most enjoyable experience and we would certainly recommend it.
