A pleasant hostal in an excellent location, but I had the same experience as another reviewer - the staff played loud dance music that was impossible to block out. If it wasn't for the noise, I would rate this hostal higher (I was in the single/superior room featured on the website - small but fine for one person).

This hostel is in a great location in Madrid and you can expect to find clean rooms and bathrooms. The one drawback is that the doors are loud and the sound can easily keep you up at night. Also, we were a little annoyed to find that the night staff keeps their radio/TV on loud at night - so much so that we couldn't get away from the noise, even if we closed the window. This is a decent place if you are a heavy sleeper and are traveling cheap.

Stayed at the Hostal Horizonte for 6 nights recently. Julio, the manager, couldn´t have been more friendly. Tastefully decorated rooms within 100m of Madrid´s best tapas bars and clubs. Only drawback was a very short bed, but I am 6´2¨, so if you´re under that height you should be fine. Anton Martin metro station on the same street. Bargain value!
