Stayed here for two consecutive weeks. Bonuses of this hotel are definately the location, a few minutes walk from Sol and the price. Service was very friendly.

I personally wouldn't rate it a 4 star, but maybe I am being picky on English standards. The main issue for me was occasionally there was a bad smell from the bathroom. Colleagues of mine had the same the first week I stayed there, however my first week it was fine for me. A bit hit and miss.

They could benefit from a dedicated lobby where you can do a bit of business, as the current one is too small and doesn't really suit getting your laptop out. There also didn't seem to be any room service, however there was a breakfast room, not so sure if they done lunch and dinner.

Overall I would recommend the hotel, as for the price and location it is very good.

The hotel quo is a nice boutiquey place in a very central location but its noisy and they appear not to control their guests who knock on other doors in the middle of the night shouting Bruce..Bruce...I wouldn't stay there again. No help with the bags, no concierge servcies to speak of - generally I got it cheap on wotif but otherwise wouldn't recommend it.

When we stayed this hotel, it was more than 28C at night. But the air conditioner did not work and the hotel stuff could not fix it. In addition, the rest of rooms were full-booked. We were forced to sleep without air conditiner. What is worse that the desk chair was ALSO broken. I falled onto the floor on my back. I was about to get injured. It was completely a nightmare!
I filled up a complain form and left it to the hotel manager (because I left there eraly morning) but the hotel did not offer any compensation at all, turned down my refund request.
You can find aother hotel near Sol which treats you much better than Quo Puerta del Sol.

We have just returned from a short break in Madrid and after reading reviews on a whole range of hotels deceided to stop at Quo Puerta Del Sol based on its location and good reviews on various web sites.
We were not disapointed. The room was excellent, clean and modern. The staff were very polite and spoke good English. They even allowed us to keep our room till 13:00 non our final day and stored our bags away ina safe place as our flight was not till later that evening.
The location is superb, we could walk to all the main attractions and the area was very safe. Madrid was excellent and we cant wait to go back and we will stop at this hotel again without any hesitation.
