The location is great, just a few steps form Puerta del Sol and Plaza Ana. Great restaurants and bars nearby. The streets around the hotel are buzzing at night. Staff very friendly. The rooms are large for being so central, airco does an excellent job. There is a small kitchen with just enough kitchenware. Only disadvantage are the thin walls. You hear everything from your neighbours. So take your earplugs and you'll be fine!

My wife and I stayed in a room with a kitchenette. It was clean, spacious and reasonably well appointed. It is not five-star luxury, but it was more than adequate for our purposes, given that we spent our days out and about, and only came back to our room to sleep. The kitchenette was a nice touch, although we didn't use it for any meals other than breakfast.

The real attraction to this place is the location. It is located in the heart of old Madrid, in a very charming and bustling neighbourhood and close to two Metro stations (which makes for easy and cheap airport access). It is the sort of area where there are always people about, which makes one feel very comfortable. I would return to this hotel in the future.

The hotel was fairly run down. The staff was great and the room was comfortable and quiet, and that's worth a lot. But make sure you put your "service required" sign out in the AM, or no one will clean. Also, be aware that sheets are not changed every day. Aside from this, it's a basic and adequate room with well worn amenities. The location is great and the desk staff was really accomodating, though.

I booked two apartments in April for myself and 3 friends. Both rooms were situated on the 1st floor, and both were very spacious, clean and airy. The kitchen facilities were great - including a modern 4 ring electric hob and microwave. The location is perfect - within walking distance of the major sights, and just a step away from the Plaza St Ana, which is a lovely spot for a tortilla in the sun! Would definitely stay in this hotel again!
