We spent 3 nights in this hostal in the heart of Madrid. The rooms are small and quite basic, just what you would expect in a budget hotel, and it might be a good idea to have ear-plugs handy, as the Chueca area is very busy and noisy especially during the weekend. However, you get good value for your money, the place is very clean, the beds reasonably comfortable and the managers are kind and helpful. The location is great, within an easy walk from Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, and very close to the metro. Of course, Chueca is the gay barrio, so I would not suggest this accommodation to someone who is not gay-friendly. Overall, this is a good place to stay in Madrid on a tight budget.
