“Really great price for such a hotel and location, a bit noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Everything was really nice. Breakfast and Internet included. The hotel was being renovated and thus a bit noisy during the day, I could also hear the people's next door talking as noise isolation seems to be unsifficient.

Also, rooms were really spacious (more than 30 sq m with bathroom), thus the TV was looking really small! My room (404) was looking like brand new.
Despite being located on the corner of the hotel (facing 2 streets), it was not noisy at all during the night.

“Don't stay in the single rooms”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Great location, but the single rooms have windows that open on to an internal stairwell that also serves as the cleaners' cupboard. I couldn't open the window as it was not secure, someone could have climbed in to the room from the stairway. As a result the room has no fresh air and no natural light. Despite what the website said, the single rooms are not connected to the air conditioning, so after showering and using the hairdryer, the room was humid and unpleasant with no way of ventilating it.

“Modern, clean rooms and delicious breakfast buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Part of the Accor chain. This clean, non-smoking hotel had a modern decor and great water pressure in the shower. We appreciated the working windows as it was necessary to open them to cool down the room (#402)and drown out the sounds from our noisy neighbors. There was good sound insulation from street noise but poor sound insulation between rooms. Free wi-fi. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which is included with ALL the rooms- there was a good selection of fresh fruit (honeydew, kiwi, oranges, apples, tomatoes) and 5 different fresh pastries /croissants, tortilla de patata, espresso machine, 3 kinds of juice, yogurts, cereals. The breakfast attendants worked hard to keep the buffet stocked with fresh food. The price for this hotel was very reasonable, well worth the money spent.. There seems to be different sized rooms, ours was supposed to be a triple, but I think we ended up getting a double with a roll-away which was still a good size. Note we saw a single room that was very tiny. The hotel is in the middle of renovations so we had to use the service elevator which wasn't pretty, but still acceptable. The staff was wonderful, I appreciated that they let us check in early (9am) after our long flight.

“Winter stay in Madrid”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

people found this review helpful

We stayed here early in January with our two teenagers. As others have said it was ideally located. Far enough away from the touristy area of Plaza del Sol. In a convenient area close to decent restaurants, and near the high end hotels of the city. We had to take two rooms which were well priced, they were roomy and clean, it came with free breakfast which was nice and plentiful. After having travelled for two weeks in Spain we came to appreciate being on a high floor, although this area was quiet. Most hotels I discovered don't honor the request of a high floor and this one did so I appreciated that. I also found the front desk here to be very helpful and nice. Very convenient to the museums and walkable to other areas of the city. Overall a good European three star hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor

“Excellent 3 Star hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

This hotel is idealy situated if you want to walk around Madrid,So many restaurants and bars are really close by and so are the shops.Cheap way to get to the city centre from the airport is to get the yellow bus from the airport it only costs 2 Euro and takes about 20 minutes depending on where you get off.For the price we paid for 3 nights for 2 people which was £214 it offers great value for money,The rooms were clean and tidy and the towels were changed every day also we went at the end of December and the room was really warm which pleased my wife .
