“Great value and excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We have booked 2 triple rooms in november and all 6 of us were exceptionally happy with the value and location.

Hotel room was clean and bathroom was really nice and modern and we had street view.

Check in was easy and quick, best thing is the location, near to metro and all the bars. We went to see Real and metro will take to san bernabeu without any line changes.

We are going back to see Real Madrid to win the league this year and we will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: triple room

Excellent hotel in central location. Stayed with friends and had good sized rooms. Very clean. Rooms had small balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Hotel staff friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Location very good. Just short walk from Grand Via and other areas of interest.

“Good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

Overall, this was good value for the money. The location of the hotel was central and a walk away from shopping and central Madrid. If you couldn't walk there, you could easily take the metro. I found the staff to be pleasant but my husband spoke the language so it made it a lot easier to communicate. The room was basic but decent size. The breakfast was also basic but I like they offered fresh fruit, coffee and tea. Overall, a good place to stay if you are on a budget. If you are looking for something fancy, go elsewhere.

“Great location, good for what you pay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

Arrived late at night, checked in no trouble. There is free wifi in the reception area and not throughout the hotel which we were led to believe there was.

Breakfast was basic to say the least! At least they did tea and coffee. If cold toasted baguettes is your thing you would love it here!

Our room was small and dated but cleaned every day. When in a different city we tend not to stay in a room the whole trip anyway!

Our 3 nights in Madrid took us to see the football at Bernabeu which, if you get chance, is a must for anyone! I am not a huge football fan but this experience was awesome! We also did the behind the scenes trip which (in my opinion) is better than Barcelona's ground.

One piece of advice, please be careful on the metro. Pickpockets are very clever and will have your belongings in a flash before you even notice anything has gone.

“Small, Dark and Depressing Rooms”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

I stayed here on my way to Barcelona. I arrived at 8:30 AM and they were unable to provide a room until 11AM. I had informed them that I would be arriving at that time and requested a room early. They started cleaning rooms at 9AM and told me they would have a room available at 9:30 AM. I was suffering from jet lag and this made it very difficult.

I was given a room in the interior that was in the back of the hotel facing a wall. The room was very small. It was dark and I dreaded spending any time in the room. The blanket for the bed was filthy.

The front desk sent me to a terrible restaurant.

I would never stay here again.
