Stayed for two nights whilst taking in the sights of Madrid. It is about a 25/30 minute walk from Plaza Mayor but its a lovely walk and you get to see some lovely buildings etc. The road outside the hotel is very busy but it didn't hamper our sleep. Staff are very friendly and the waiters and barmen in the bar are the friendliest we encountered whilst in Madrid. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a traditional manner with a good sized bathroom and good selection of toiletries etc.

The Hotel is a 3 min walk from a metro station and this was ideal for our trip to and from the airport. We purchased a 3 day tourist metro ticket for 20 euros, we used the metro quite a bit, especialy at night.

Great hotel would book again!

This hotel is classy, helpful, clean, great food....just perfection. I travel a lot for business and this by far is one of the best places i've stayed.

The buffet is stupendous. The hotel rooms are clean and excellent. The balcony is so peaceful. It looks out onto the courtyard. Rooms are big, bed is SO COMFY!!!

My sister and I recently stayed at the Madrid Intercontinental Hotel January 26-30, 2012. When we arrived at the hotel after our early morning arrival, we were directed to the 1st floor Club to check in. Susanna Gari was wonderful, she greeted us by name and accommodated us for an early check in. I am a Royal Ambassador and so we were upgraded to a suite. It was truly luxurious. From the time we checked in until we left everything was flawless. I can certainly tell you that has not always been the case when I have stayed at some Intercontinental Hotels. We truly appreciated the professional manner of the entire staff. Pedro in the Club was great, we enjoyed visiting with him while we enjoyed our glass of champagne. Hope to return some day.

I loved this hotel. Great location, walkable to most main attractions, on the main thouroughfare so easy to get to / from but also far enough away from the chaos of Sol! Room was nice and the value for money was superb. Really enjoyed my stay here.
