We stayed at the Aparthotel for just one night, as we had a flight departing in the morning. I was very pleased at the close proximity to the Metro station (5 minute walk to the hotel) but in a quiet, safe looking neighborhood. We took the Metro from the train station (Chamartin) to the metro station by the hotel (El Capricho), while a bit complicated, but got us there in about 50 minutes for just 1 Euro. Do your research before you go to know which Metro connections you need.
The rooms were quite large, larger than a standard hotel and allowed us to have a third person easily stay in the Living area with two of us in the bedroom. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our few requests.
We took the breakfast which is at a small neighborhood bar/restaurant around the corner. While the bar was quaint and the food was OK, I should have skipped it as the kitchen had a good size refrigerator we could have kept breakfast supplies.
The free shuttle service was great.

This hotel is very close to the Madrid Barajas airport and offer free shuttle to/from the airport. The shuttle leaves the hotel every 30minutes. The hotel has nice outdoor pool and offer free WiFi. This hotel is good for conecting passenger and regular tourist as well. The nearest metro station is less than 5 minutes wallk. The journey to the downtown takes around 30 minutes and cost around 1 EURo.

My wife and I had planned on staying for one night at this hotel but were so impressed we stayed on for three nights. Our "apartment" was clean and bright and had a large sitting room, full kitchen, large bedroom, bathroom with tub and shower and two balconies for only 70 euros per night. Kitchen supplies were provided on request at no cost. Located out near the airport , the hotel is situated in a quiet neighbourhood with small tapas bars, restaurants and a local market. Being only 100 metres from the subway, we easily travelled into downtown Madrid sometimes twice a day. A free shuttle to and from the airport topped it all off for us. A great little hotel for a great price !

Nice hotel with free trensfer to/from the airport. It goes every half hour. I tis very close to the metro station. If you are lucky you can be in lees than half hour in the center. For lees than 1 Euro. The single trip cost 1 Euro, but if you buy 10 trip ticket, than the price is 0,74Euro per trip. The breakfas is for extra charge.
