I did not use any of the hotel's services other than my room, but it was very spacious and immaculately clean - just what I needed. The bathroom looked like it had been renovated recently and although the water in the shower wasn't that hot, it felt luxurious and also spotlessly clean. I had an 'interior' room which was away from any traffic noise (although my neighbours were a little noisy early in the morning) but still got plenty of light.

The hotel is really close to Alonso Martinez metro station which is very handy for getting to and from the airport (much cheaper than a cab and just as quick). It's not right in the centre but Madrid is so compact that it doesn't take long to walk anywhere, and the metro is close if you don't want to walk. I had a simple but tasty breakfast at a bar across the road - Cafe Santander - and found good places to eat along Calle Hortaleza and beyond.

The front of house staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. My only slight criticism is that I put the 'do not disturb' sign on my door when I went out one day, but came back to find the chamber maid had been in. She did a lovely job but I did not want fresh towels nor sheets and was frustrated to find things I'd barely used had been changed - it's such a waste!

I went there twice in 2011 in business trips and I recommend this hotel.
Good service all around but yet reasonable prices for a 4 star hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location, a couple of stops away from Puerta Del Sol.

Good location. This hotel is a bit old. Very bad sound insulation. From the hotel room there is a spice scent that I do not like. However, it is very clean. The bath room is very classic. The bed is very comfortable. I would recomand this hotel if you could book it with three star hotel price.

This hotel was recommended to me by a Madrid resident, and he was spot on! There was not a single thing that went wrong with this hotel.Above all, I loved the fact that the room was quiet (which is not always so easy to find in a busy city).
