“Average but ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2008

person found this review helpful

There are three reasons why I regularly stay in this hotel when I'm in Madrid: (i) It is next to my parents place (but for visitors that want to visit the center is not very convinient): (ii) rooms are very large; (iii) it has a nice gymn/spa; (iv) during weekends it has reasonable prices (70-80 EUR).

Reception staff is average, the Argentinean doorman is rude and incompetent and even if the hotel is new some of the rooms look old.

“Lovely business hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2008

My favourite business hotel in Europe. It helps that it is so close to my Company's office but the rooms are absolutely fantastic which makes up for the fact that it is a little out of the centre of things

“What has happened to this hotel?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2007

I stayed here back in 2004 and alot has changed since. The place seems to have been running with no investment since I left. When I was here in 2004 the hotel was in it's prime and the staff were all top class.
Now though things are very different. I was left at the bar for 10 minutes while the bar maid chatted to her friend. The next day no one was serving at the bar. The staff don't make eye contact. The restaurant staff don't speak English. The table cloths in the restaurant have holes in them. The flower vases on the table are chipped and glued back together. The beautiful chandlers have massive energy saving bulbs crammed into them or re-wired to fit somehow. The bathrooms are starting to look a little tired but the room sizes are still impressive and the furniture is more what you would expect of a 4 star hotel.

“At last, a decent business stay hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2006

Excellent value at E99 considering what you get; a very large, exec furnished, comfortable room. Staff v friendly, would most certainly stay again.

“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2005

people found this review helpful

Located slightly to the North of the City. 10 minute walk East of Charmartin Station.
Luxury hotel with all mod-cons. Great gym and swimming pool (roof comes off during the days), sauna, steam room complex too.
Great breakfast. Massive rooms, fancy bathroom as you would expect. Would definately recommend.

The only disadvantage is its location, not great if you want the city centre. However, there are many resturants within 15 minute walk. Only 10 minutes taxi from the Airport as well.

Stayed September 2005
