As a frequent business traveller to Madrid, I have stayed at most of the 4 and 5 star hotels. This is by far the best one I have stayed in.
It is a little far from the tourist centers (15 min taxi), but it is well worth it. The rooms are huge and luxurious. DON'T stay here if you like modern or minimalist, but otherwise, you will love the replica antique furniture in this brand new building. The staff is curteous and professional and the prices are excellent. Great food and a full health club used by locals as well. I'm not easily fooled by "luxury" hotels - read my reviews on the Wellington (not up to 5* standards) and the Palace (nice, but waaay overpriced).
